He already has a similar form of motivation by falling behind Flash (and Bisu!). But perhaps that series will get him to focus on training his micro again. The JvZ era feels like such a long time ago.

I'm happy for Hydra, he deserves it after beating Jaedong.
It was quite nostalgic seeing Coach Cho and Effort in the audience, the CJ zerg line lives on...! (Savior -> Effort -> Hydra)

The bubbly F1 drivers use on the podium also costs 50 grand... aka the entire prize money Hydra just won!

Although Hydra is probably on a smaller salary now compared to what Effort was receiving at the time of his OSL win.

Being a T1 fan, I noticed that during the last PL playoffs it seemed that SKT was really isolated, almost every team going against them practiced with (multiple!) other teams but SKT didn't. But this season SKT's interviews involve thanking a lot of players from other teams so the tides have shifted, at least for them. True. But then, SKT1 has the largest coaching staff and an incredibly deep line-up in part thanks to all the investment they have. And that's ignoring the talent of Park and Oov. Teams like Samsung just don't give me the impression they can really give their players everything they need in practise at the top level for events like the Starleagues without replying on other teams. Apart from January, I can't really think of any other coaches for Samsung and even then I'm not sure January knows the intricacies of mind-games and the like required for finals.
I guess that raises two question. Firstly, can Samsung ever really win a Starleague with its current coaching team? And secondly, how much does inter-team politics really affect the leagues?

We can talk when he actually gets further than Jaedong...or when he wins a bo3/bo5.

Aw, I missed this. But I'm glad Hydra won, if only for the possibility of Cho/Effort coming back.

After game 1 Hydra killed a pylon near Great's brain. X_x
It's sad that such a creative player loses, anyway. But I hope more builds like this game 1 from Great in the proleague. Let's see if it can be always countered with the right timings, or it's a normal build that can be used as well as others.

I wish Khan players were mentally a bit tougher.
