But the more I read from korean pro gamers the clearer it gets. It seem that korean starcraftplaeyrs in general are so damn unsecure about there own skill. When you see guys like Stork and Bisu say things like they dont think they can beat Flash or Jaedong, that they feel insecure about there pvp, or about playing any random guy, then you really understand why Flash and JD win so much, and why previous guys like them have done the same. Flash and JD win so many games in the head, before and during games due to the fact that they ALWAYS think they will win, when others before the game are gonna try their best but probably lose. I must say its kinda sad to see this, guys like Stork and Bisu should have stronger confident than this. They should be more american if I may say so. Fuck I think Idra would have had better confident going up against Flash then both Stork and Bisu :-) If you get the chance to shot the last penelty in the world cup final, you either think, Wow I get to end the world cup final and win it for my team, or you think, fuck I will miss and lose us the world cup final. Depending on what you think, the outcome affects by a shitload. So maybe pro gamers should spend a little less time tapping on the keyboard, and put some focus trying to work on the mental part of the game.

With all the ups and downs of Khan players over the years, Stork has been the only steady player, without him they'd be completely screwed, he's the team's foundation, etc. etc. And he is not solely responsible for Khan losing today, as everyone seems to be saying - three other players had to lose too... I should've thought twice about that statement, I know... I was just furious right after the match. During the game I already wondered why he had to cheese... against Violet above all... I mean, yes I know Stork lost confidence in his PvP, but come on... I felt like he threw that game. After he lost I thought that JanbBi could seal the deal against anyone except Flash, but wrong again. That insistence on pulling through a scouted cheese basically trashed everything that Reality, BravE and great did that day... so sad... btw: I don't hate him ofc, noone hates Stork; I just think that this was such a bad decision...

people don't win because they think they can win. they win because they have the skill to win. the idea of the mental game is all ludicrous.

What you say is the basic and fundamental ground to it all. But to deny the fact that the mind plays a huge role in the outcome of any game is just crazy.

Cos standing with Jaehoon are two other MBC protosses. probablly trying to help each other out of the gutter. and to those people who say people lose the game in their head's first before they play Flash/Jaedong, remember those 2 had to win tons of games to get to that intimidating godlike level (apparently godlike is an actual word) so it doesnt say too much about the mental aspect.

How many times Flash lost to carriers before learning to counter it. And how many times Jaedong lost to protoss before he reached his vP insane stats.

I'm not exactly what you'd call a good a particularly good player (I don't play on Iccup, but I daresay calling me D would be compliment), but nerves are a factor for me in various games. For instance, the website TypeRacer allows you to, well, race other people while typing short excerpts from books or songs or whatever. When I'm nervous (because I see that someone in the group has an average 20 - 30 points above mine), I can go from my average of ~100 WPM down to the 70s, purely from nervousness / shaky fingers / jerkiness. I'm the same way when I play fighting games, as well. So it's not a stretch for me to believe that some players don't play to 100%, when nervousness becomes intense enough to become problematic - to cause bad decision making, critical mismicroing, things like that. But I'm not in the players' heads, so maybe it really is a non-factor or almost never happens at this level.

I must say its kinda sad to see this, guys like Stork and Bisu should have stronger confident than this. They should be more american if I may say so. Fuck I think Idra would have had better confident going up against Flash then both Stork and Bisu :-) Idra would be confident because no one expects anything from him. Everyone has their eyes on Flash: if Flash owns Idra hard, Idra doesn't lose any face because getting crushed is expected and if Idra wins, support for him would explode since he just beat someone a billion times better than him. Its the underdog advantage, no one cares about you so you don't have to worry about anything. If Stork or Bisu fuck up, people are going to be seriously disappointed and if the loss is particularly bad they're going to get ridiculed. People might go and say that people prepare badly against Flash and Jaedong but let's be honest how do you prepare against those two? They're masters at pretty much every style of play in the handbook, they're not particularly predictable players, and they're generally good enough to get through small cases of map imba (or in Flash's case make Katrina his home). They're not like every other progamer out there who have fairly predictable routines, builds, and playstyles.

Tbh before I could not understand how guys like Flash and Jaedong could be so damn good in a game that has so many aspects that affect the outcome. I mean that the players themself can not control, like map imb, luck factor, chees and so on. But the more I read from korean pro gamers the clearer it gets. It seem that korean starcraftplaeyrs in general are so damn unsecure about there own skill. What has Flash to do with, that Bisu lost to guys like Shine? Nothing. Flash and Jaedong do what they do, they baet all kind of players not only the best. It is really not their fault, if Stork or Bisu loose to "bad" players.

Still KTFlashing it up right now. Action and ForGG need to step it up if KT wants to be playoff contenders. Feel bad for Roo, he played so well in his first game only to get an awful ZvZ.
