Protoss have to practise some cheese strat for everygame in the leagues. It's different thing when they have to play like 10 games in a row like now. So i find it a big surprise P user got through.

Well, i wanted to make fOru's rep pack a few months ago, but then i gave up that idea, anyway i have 53 reps of him, going to find some more And yes, the pack of today's event would be GREATLY appreciated.
|
shoulda been a losers bracket.
|
I'll take a ForU rep pack (sorted into version folders at least and matchup preferably - decently named reps) and give it a home.
|
So, as i can see, many people want fOru pack?
|
i would prefer a gorush rep pack ..

And did you see JoseZ and FroZ (twice) beating BoxeR 2 years prior?
VERY few (blackman and uh.. PJ? I dunno) will be able to standup to foru ZvP.
I don't think you've heard of Blackmans exhibition game vs foru in Korea WCG 2002.

theres lots of good forigen protoss players and most say their best matchup is pvt

funny ddang & ddong all the way -_-

I don't think you've heard of Blackmans exhibition game vs foru in Korea WCG 2002. Xellos and ddangg much more stable styles of play :O
And do you know where I can get those exhibition games ^_^? + What maps and who won (I guess your post means foru got destroyed :D which isn't really odd considering that WCGs maps!)

Excuses, excuses.
BoxeR was definetly more dominant on the Korean scene than Xellos and Midas are now. I can understand they probably will be the best players in San Francisco along with foru (that is if Xellos actually qualifies), but that doesn't mean they won't lose a single game. All this praising is making me feel pretty sick.
As for that exhibition I'm not sure which map was it (probably LT), but I do know Blackman pretty much raped Foru. I don't want to be falsely accused of spreading rumours again so Fizban might be as kind as to give you some details.
But as you see - there's no reason to think that they're unbeatable.

Even if boxer was more dominant it doesn't change anything! His style was more prone to fuckups and the like~~~~~
Second, I didn't mean to say they wouldn't lose a single game; what I meant was I don't think anyone will beat them in a bo 3, especially with gorky and khoral in there (gorky freewin vs p khoral advantage vs z).

Well only 5/32 were protoss, which isn't very good. So i don't think they always get through. Last year on the same maps they didn't get through.

so.. will there be any replays from korean qualifiers?

And XellOs and Midas have developed a style which is not 'prone to fuckups'? Are you sure BoxeRs loss was a consequence of his style?
I don't know what the system will be in San Francisco, however I can bet with you if you want, that one of the Korean representatives will be eliminated by a foreigner. I can put money on that.

You're missing the point, 'bud'. Are you suggesting that the skill gap between foreigners and Korean progamers has drastically increased over the last 2 years ?
|
Well there are more pro teams now and they are more organized, practice a lot more, against stronger opponents, and koreans (as was seen in korea vs china) know a lot more about map strategy than foreigners, so chances are they wont be eliminated like last year. Last year was bo1 and played on LT... there is a huge difference.
