It's going to depend on the match ups. Hite Entus has a very strong line up now, but some players are terrible at specific MUs (SkyHigh anything else than TvT, Snow PvP, Horang2 anything else than PvP...).
I'm gonna watch this during my saturday brunch, so I hope we will see an ace match, but if the key players in Hite Entus don't get good matchups it's gonna be very one sided in favor of SKT !
Hopefully stream links will be posted in this thread since the games don't seem to be on the calendar so there won't be any way to watch the mbc game at least (not sure if this is on ogn or mbc) if the events aren't added since we won't see who's streaming outside of this thread D:
Another nice job on the header proto, cheers. So reassuring to see these threads going up so early again.
I wouldn't worry too much about the calendar. I wouldn't be surprised if it was updated soon, and even if it isn't we've always got the thread linked above.
Can't wait to watch my SKT boys again tomorrow. HYPE!!!!!
This is going to be a tough match for CJ, as they don't have anyone to really take out a good toss. Relying on the mirror can backfire since Best and Bisu are so good at PvP.
If they win, it most likely will be in an ace match. I just hope we get good matchups like a Snow vs Fantasy showdown.
bisu/fantasy/best/canata are playing poker on the bench. canata ends up winning because everyone gets fed up with how long he takes to decide what to do and they end up all-in'ing for no reason.

Bisu hasn't picked up a win against a strong protoss opponent in a while though. He defeated Horang2 in February but since then the players he has been beating are players like Snow who aren't very good at the matchup.
Best case scenario for Hite might be something like Horang2 versus Bisu, Leta versus Kwanro and Skyhigh or Snow versus Fantasy. It's really up in the air.
p.s. Yeah, good job on the thread. I'm a little tired of getting screwed by the calendar.
I'm not sure if we'll see Canata. Hite has a lot of anti-terran muscle on its roster. I imagine they'd either try to end the series early or send Hyuk and s2 who both have pretty good vP records.

I have no control over my inner fanboyism, so here comes my immaturity:
Even tho it's round 1, Bisu is going to all-kill Hentus and ejaculate to the sounds of hundreds of hot fan girls into the booths of his opponents after their defeat. Yah.

Snow sucks in terms of pvp.
His speciality is pvt.
Yes that's what I'm saying : some players are terrible at specific MUs ( ... Snow PvP ... ). Actually he sucks PvZ as well, but since he raped T1 zergs during the playoffs and the match is against T1, I only said he sucks PvP.
My point was that if Horang2 gets a PvP, Snow a PvZ against a T1 scrub, SkyHigh vs Fanta, plus Movie to beat another zerg, and Leta as a backup, T1 could be in serious trouble.
But if we have Horang2 vs Kwanro, Snow vs Bisu, Leta vs Best, SkyHigh vs anything not T, and Fantasy vs Movie, it's gonna be very one sided !

I want to have Kwanro vs Movie for some reason cuz they were both on CJ together. Of course SKyhigh vs Fantasy!!! Bisu vs Horang2 BeSt vs Leta (I want to see how their style clashes with one another, creativity vs MASS construction)
why the fuck are you guys putting leta against bisu? leta's not very good at TvP. it wouldnt be a 50-50 match up, put up leta vs fantasy or kwanro, then leta would pretty much own them both, but please, no tvp for leta my beloved.
Hogil might make his debut in an attempt to snipe one of the tosses, and I've seen Hydra play this season already. I was wondering who the next main zerg will be on this team?
I always remembered this team as one with a strong zerg player. Do they have a young up and comer or will one of the current players improve drastically to fill that role? It will be interesting to see as the season goes on.

As long as Bisu isn't playing terribly, Leta wouldn't really have any chance against him, even worse against Best. Fantasy he wouldn't be likely to beat; Fantasy showed his ability to stand up to Flash in TvT while Leta just showed his ability to choke when it really matters. Against Kwanro he'd have the advantage unless he played like he did against s2 last time around. Truth be told, Leta isn't that good of an ace, maybe on the level of Best, which, while still really really good, is still a notch below the well-rounded capabilities of an S-/S class ace.

Leta is of course isnt a S-class player, but his TvT is S-Class and in par with Flash, so i disagree that he wouldnt be likely to beat fantasy. Leta i believe is also one of the best Ace-match players.

Hey, don't underestimate SOO. He was the one who broke Light's TvZ streak last year. Otherwise, Light's TvZ streak would have approached Flash's TvT streak.
Why are people so bitter? SoO played the early - midgame beautifully. Got an econ advantage early with leta's 2 rax, muta harass did a little better than it should have, and he delayed Leta's push so well at those 2 bridges. Those advantages (some to his credit, some to leta's discredit) just compounded and when Leta finally started to assert map control soo had 3 bases saturating and a 4th coming soon with his necesarry tech up (2nd evo and defiler den). It's a wonder leta even held out that long
On October 23 2010 13:47 Holgerius wrote: 2 Rax huh? I missed the opening of the game, that sort of explains why Leta's midgame was so weak.
It was a 2 rax expo build, he started his cc when he only had 2 marines. He was at a disadvantage because lings got in and killed some scvs when he moved out.
bisu checks out hogil's nat again - now there's lurkers though - bisu with no detection but storms the lurker that burrowed among his forces after getting one hit with a dt
3 scourge fly in and totally fail to snipe observers - hogil's layer of lurkerling greatly diminished - 3 speedzealots find a drone turning into a hatchery at 5, cancelled
reaver loaded into shuttle with 2 zealots - here comes the fun fantasy adding 3rd fact, 2 tanks unsiege and MOVE OUT - reaver dropped in main - no kills with 2 scarabs - fantasy moves forces into main
You know, I really believe Snow can make a more solid ace than Leta once he works out the little quirks in his play. While I'm not too happy about an SKT game lost, I still think Snow is pretty cool. I hope he can go and become ace.
Honestly, I felt Fantasy was way behind from when he decided not to use his first supply depot to block then got harassed for way too long with the initial zealots. One of the marines bugging out didn't help, either. He was just never able to recover against the follow-up reaver.

damn I didn't pay attention to things - but s2 with a slightly later pool 9pool vs overpool I think s2 takes his gas, and his expo hydra takes his expo, later than s2's, then takes his gas
large groups of lings say hi to each other some distance outside s2's nat - hydra engages - s2 with way better arc - hydra lost a lot more than he killed, now retreating with s2's lings in pursuit
hydra opened with 4 scourge while s2 started with mutas
Terrible play by hydra. Everything that one can do wrong in zvz he did. From bad positioning, to bad engagements, to wasting units.I am getting worried about CJ's zerg lineup.
orion with a huge ling force trying to attack kwanro's nat - kwanro gets a few lings surrounded to start off but CRUSHES the lings after - now he's chasing

Fantasy and Best were the most consistent performers for SKT at the end of last season, and Best has just carried on where he left off. Bisu had form then lost it at the end of the season, but he appears to be in reasonable shape as well.
As for the Zergs, they've been so impressive so far. It doesn't surprise me that Hyuk hasn't played yet. He was embarassingly bad at the end of the last season, and with the Kwanro pick-up and Soo and s2's form.....

Not really a merge cos Stars just bought 2 players. But give it some time. Players usually enter a slump after transferring teams, esp since it occurred only a few days before the first proleague match. Kwanro said he's playing a lot better now than when he first joined Stars because he had 2 months to adjust to SKT compared to when he switched from CJ to Stars.

Funny enough, it's their terran and protoss depth that's really weak right now. Aside from their 3 aces, they really have no upcoming players with any decent experience.

Protoss are fine, Best and Bisu are showing great form again and Sun is looking quite good as an up and comer (barely drafted last year). Ironically its the Terran lineup thats really weak right now
SKT for 2010-2011 season!!! It kinda is hard to see Fantasy struggling, I mean he's doing lots of good stuff in his game, but being 1-2 right now just seems uncharacteristic of him...maybe BoxeR leaving for SC2?....
It's a strange, yet glorious day, when SKT zergs carry their team to victory. Glad that Bisu continued to win. Sad about another loss by Fantasy, but apparently the game was excellent/close. Was hanging out with friends so didn't get a chance to see it and only caught the second half of game 1. Was shocked that a non-Kwanro SKT Zerg had beaten Leta.
Still, SKT zergs not sucking... does not compute! Ahhh!
I wonder if Kwanro's aggressive playstyle has freed them up to focus on more macro style instead of trying to go in both directions. Or if there's some other factor at work.
Either way, I'm glad SKT got another win, and even more happy that they're getting wins from all sorts of different team members instead of one or two stars winning and hoping a second stringer can snag a win (JD, and Flash to a -much- lesser extent) to seal the deal/bring it to an ace for the star to work twice as hard.
