I want to say it's because of star2 that crying "imbalance" is suddenly accepted but I'm not sure if it's true. This final was not about terran versus zerg, it was about flash versus jaedong. _Any_ other terran today on these maps and jaedong is the overwhelming favourite and even when he is up against the best player ever the pre game predictions are ~50/50. That's not the sign of an imbalanced game. As long as the leagues are allowed to keep running flash too will eventually meet an advesary he cannot overcome, it's the cycle of brood war ~~ Protoss bonjwa incoming, yes? I believe it's time. Legend of the fall+Bisu. Nuff said. it'll be Bisu or + Show Spoiler + Bisu Bisu or Bisu. + Show Spoiler + or Bisu Fixed all of your posts. No one else is good enough. He seriously needs to get over his "BAWWWW MAP IMBA" complex though. I've always considered Bisu to be the most mechanically sound player in all of BW, it's just that his mindset is so whack. You really think a few lines in some interviews allow you to judge someone's mindset? Or that if they don't publicly say something, they don't think it? I guarantee every player has bitched about maps that are bad (and Tears of the Moon was pretty bad), what varies is how public it is. And frankly, given that pros have their careers determined by the maps to quite a degree, I'd say they've the right to. Agreed with your point, but what I was trying to say that had Flash or JD been in Bisu's shoes as far as Tears was concerned, they'd have practiced like hell to find a work around. On the flipside, had Bisu been in Flash's shoes, he'd probably do his normal thing in Dreamliner and use map imbalance as one of his crutches should he lose. This is not to say that I'm judging _anyone's_ mindset (OR practice regimen/habits/what have you); thin as the line may be it's still different from opining. I just think that if Bisu would approach things like Flash would, he'd be able to improve and achieve a lot more.

I think you're right that people are too quick to dismiss Jaedong's accomplishments but IMO a factor which is significant in that context is that three of Flash's golds came against the Jaedong who already had 5 golds. In fact Flash beat Jaedong in a BoX along the way to every MSL and OSL title he has won. That's really crazy impressive.

reached 6 out of 6 finals, won 4 titles, won dualtitles, won winners league pretty much on his own, led his team to proleague victory, got his golden mouse, defeated jd in a bo5 3 times in a row, having over 80% winrate if u exclude all the lost ace matches in round5 which in the end were completely meaningless - this has been the best and most dominant season in starcraft history, at a time when the competition was so hard every1 thought it would be impossible to dominate that hard anymore. flash, the last bonjwa and best player to ever have played bw. bw might not die right now, but to me this was the pinnacle and end of sc:bw. all good things come to an end.... gz flash, u deserve it. gz jd for giving his best, but he was way behind in the psychological warfare against flash before the games even started. u could see in his play that he wasnt confident in being the better player to flash in every aspect of the game, he wasnt confident in winning. btw to anyone crying about the imba of T because of flashs 5 rax leading to an advantage for flash despite being held off: early rax vs 12 hatch is a soft bo defeat - the zerg can hold it off like jd did, but it will put the T far ahead economically. just like jds 4pool in game 2 was held off, but did enough damage so in the end flash was chanceless. jd really put up a good fight in game 4, but ultimately flash was too good denying him expos. btw did any1 notice flash deafeted jd without using mech or 14cc even once this series?

Jaedong was on the backfoot after losing that overlord. He held of Flash's amazing control with some sick swarms. He also made a shaky decision to drop hoping he could catch Flash offguard. He made the wrong decision by going on the attack when he should have been using swarms to defend a 3rd. What I'm saying is that we haven't really seen any recent games between JD and Flash without some extremely early aggression or timing attacks. It's not like there is a large sample of games where both players are successfully live it out to late game and Flash just puts the hurt on every single thing JD tries to do. On even footing, I don't get that "helplessness" feeling from either player.

I don't know if you count that as "helplessness", but it's beyond insanely impressive.

A Receiving a title like that is quite an honor but compared to the players who rose to that level before, I think I’m still lacking. Though it’s nice if fans call me that, I still think “Ultimate Weapon” is better and more appropriate for me right now. He is bonjwa, it's official, get over it

Savior was not bonjwa because he had crazy good records, it was because no matter what opponents did, Savior just did not lose. You went in thinking, "jeeeez, who the hell can beat this guy." In that sense, neither Flash nor Jaedong are like that because the game has produced players where this cannot happen anymore. Both are crazy amazing and dominant, just Flash turns out to be better in the head to head. edit: I'm saying, to me at least, the term is outdated and doesn't really fit to anyone anymore.
