The matchups today aren't too interesting IMO but the results will be fairly important. If Sea wins, he has got a really high chance of making it to the Ro8 with a 2-1 or 3-0 record and if Effort loses, he better hope someone either goes 3-0 or 0-3 because he's boned if someone goes 1-2. | ||

At 3 o'clock your minerals are up against the wall so there isn't really that "sweet spot" that you saw Zero abuse between Hiya's main minerals and his natural. The amount of room Mutas have to maneuver between the main and natural at 6 o'clock is huge, and once Mutas get there they effectively shut down your main completely since they have direct shots on the whole mineral line. | ||

Sea showed it's quite possible to defend mutas on this map even when it's the best muta micro in town. While that's somewhat true, Sea had a MASSIVE advantage spawning at 3 o'clock. If he had spawned at 6 o'clock people wouldn't be bitching about Jaedong being dumb or whatever because Sea wouldn't have won. Even Sea knows and admits about the pocket of mutalisk doom in the 6 o'clock position. | ||

He, of course, has to beat Kal making Fantasy 1-2. If Kal and Free beat Stork, Stork goes 1-2. Kal would then go 1-2 with losses to Fanta and Free. Tiebreaker action then. | ||

Basically, Leta and Bisu need to beat Action, and EffOrt needs to beat Bisu. The funny thing is that all of these individual elements are probably favored to happen, but as a whole, EffOrt still needs to get pretty lucky. That said, I know it'll happen. It always happens like that. I'm really disappointed with fantasy though, this was the group for him, and he's now on life support as well. I can always root for Kal in that group, I guess! | ||

In his winner's interview for the MSL Ro16, they said that it's his first time in the MSL Ro8. I also could never find any past instances of Sea in an Ro8... I dont know enough but was wondering how big differens it would have been if Fantasy would have taken his mineral only expo instead of that ninja. That mineral only is easier to protect right? The fact that he had to lift his CC and float it to that location gave Free the time to expand and prepare for the voult harass. Had he taken the closer expo he would have been running on 3 bases pretty fast and could have run Free over like in most games with that build...or? | ||
