The matchups today aren't too interesting IMO but the results will be fairly important. If Sea wins, he has got a really high chance of making it to the Ro8 with a 2-1 or 3-0 record and if Effort loses, he better hope someone either goes 3-0 or 0-3 because he's boned if someone goes 1-2.

Expecting Free to get stomped hard by Fantasy, expecting Sea vs Pure to be really sloppy (never know with Sea and Pure!), and not expecting too much from Leta (again never know!). As for Hiya, he's playing on Dreamliner and his TvZ doesn't really inspire much confidence against someone like Zero to be honest.

I wanna know so that I will cheer for the guy whose win will benefit Bisu. Thanks Let's assume Bisu loses to Action. He would be 0-2 in that case. His only chance would be a 3-way 1-2 tie, so he would need Effort to win this one, Action to go 3-0, and himself to beat Effort in the final game. But this scenario gets more hypothetical by the second ![]()

Leta could have given away all his Wraiths in the last third of the game and still won handily.

The good news is, once Effort wins an OSL tiebreaker he wins the whole thing!

At 3 o'clock your minerals are up against the wall so there isn't really that "sweet spot" that you saw Zero abuse between Hiya's main minerals and his natural. The amount of room Mutas have to maneuver between the main and natural at 6 o'clock is huge, and once Mutas get there they effectively shut down your main completely since they have direct shots on the whole mineral line.

Group A has Leta, Bisu and Action all at 2-1, Bisu's PvZ being enough to get him the two wins and Action can abuse Dreamliner vs. Leta. Group B - Flash 3-0, Zero 2-1 as he should be able to beat Hyuk. Group C - Sea rolls Hydra for 3-0, JD 2-1 as long as he doesn't get a build order autoloss vs Hydra Group D - Stork beats Kal to go 2-0 with Free, then in the final game they mutually mass scouts and spell out LOL Fantasy with pylons

If he had spawned at 6 o'clock people wouldn't be bitching about Jaedong being dumb or whatever because Sea wouldn't have won. Even Sea knows and admits about the pocket of mutalisk doom in the 6 o'clock position.

He, of course, has to beat Kal making Fantasy 1-2. If Kal and Free beat Stork, Stork goes 1-2. Kal would then go 1-2 with losses to Fanta and Free. Tiebreaker action then.

I'd rather call it JD gets a big advantage with his awesome muta micro and (possibly) map imbalance and then goes on to vomit on said advantage by muta all-inning I have yet to see an actually good adaptation for the short air distance beside Leta's 2 port wraith getting turrets out is much harder then you make it sound like...getting these earlier will cut in the marine's count a lot to defend the muta harass. especially considering 12 pool lair gets mutas out SO fast (not even talking about when T spawns at 6)

And can it be just coincidence that Leta is finally having individual league success after all his cheating teammates have been purged? I dread to think his own teammates could have somehow sold out his strategies for their own profit all this time.

Good muta micro/wraith micro aren't actually very hard - although that extra level of precise shots and correct calls can make all the difference, and your opponent can up the tension by microing against you. (Mutas look really stupid when their would-be target stims away while the others rush in and fire.) The difficulty is performing focus-intensive micro while macroing (including tech, adding raxes, expanding, possibly adding turrets, etc.), moving around your ground forces, and incorporating new units into your control stack.

I was going to say, haha. Basically, Leta and Bisu need to beat Action, and EffOrt needs to beat Bisu. The funny thing is that all of these individual elements are probably favored to happen, but as a whole, EffOrt still needs to get pretty lucky. That said, I know it'll happen. It always happens like that. I'm really disappointed with fantasy though, this was the group for him, and he's now on life support as well. I can always root for Kal in that group, I guess!

I dont know enough but was wondering how big differens it would have been if Fantasy would have taken his mineral only expo instead of that ninja. That mineral only is easier to protect right? The fact that he had to lift his CC and float it to that location gave Free the time to expand and prepare for the voult harass. Had he taken the closer expo he would have been running on 3 bases pretty fast and could have run Free over like in most games with that build...or?
