This along with JD's complaining about his win over Ssak, and his comments about how he doesn't care about getting into the Ro8/Ro16 and only about winning make him seem like a player with a bad, cocky "I'm-better-than-everyone" attitude overall. He's starting to make an antifan out of me. That's the attitude that has made him one of the greatest SC players of all time. JD would not have been nearly as accomplished if he had not had his bad-ass attitude. And Flash said in an interview that he keeps thinking ''Lol, you can't beat me'' to himself during games. It's called winner-mentality. I love JD for his self-confidence. You may call it arrogance or being cocky or whatever, but it has gotten him 5 Starleague golds, so I don't see any reason for him to change it.

Thanks, gonna check it out.

Be even more strange/hilarious/depressing (depending on your affiliation) if both Effort and Bisu fail out of the group.

But really what map will Bisu vs Effort be playing on? If its polaris rhapsody that blows for effort, but anything else pretty much gets him the Z>P advantage. EDIT: oooo seems like dreamliner..should be an interesting game! Effort fighting!

You may call it arrogance or being cocky or whatever, but it has gotten him 5 Starleague golds, so I don't see any reason for him to change it. This is a pretty silly idea. Flash streak of domination came when he started being more humble (and as a result playing more safely). He lost his series against Effort because he made cocky moves in the last 3 games (moving marines out without scouting/medics, BBSing, 14cc). And Jaedong lost his game against Sea because of this winner mentality. Mondragon is also an example that pops into my head of a player that does/did really well despite always predicting himself to lose in interviews. Yeah, he's a foreigner, but he had a period of dominance among his peers despite the presence of people like idra, who also holds this strange and unjustified attitude that you need to be cocky to win. Obviously, it goes both ways; you have to take gambles every now and then so your opponents can't abuse your strategy. But one way cockiness will never win you games is by going pure muta against one of the top 10 players right now just to show off that you can. tl;dr version: Mentality doesn't win you games. Playing well wins you games. Now that we have that out of the way, there's a difference between having a confident winner mentality and being cocky. When you give an interview after a win saying that you played horribly and you'll never ever play that badly again, it's a ridiculously belittling thing to say for the person you beat (Ssak). When he says that qualifying for the Ro8 doesn't matter to him and he only cares if he wins, it's belittling to say for Sea, who is a good, experienced player and just qualified for the Ro8 for the first time (and he will probably now qualify for both Ro8s. fuck yeah Sea ^_^). Trying to beat Sea with just mass mutas was a dumb idea; it's evident from the fact that he lost from such a huge advantage. I find it very hard to believe that Jaedong, as the best player in the world right now, didn't realize this. His trying to end the game with pure mutas was him sending a message that he thinks that he is much, much better than Sea. And it makes me so happy (as a Sea fan especially) to see that he got his face stomped to the curb in response. You can agree with me or not, but I find Jaedong's attitude to be in general pretty distasteful and discourteous to other progamers. In comparison, as he's aged, Flash seems to have become a much nicer/classier guy overall.
