Thats what I was thinking as well. I kept thinking he should be expanding throughout most of the game.

lol oh damn, I am so behind.

I cant imagine sending someone that just lost crying is a good strategy. Yea I really wanna know wtf the coach is thinking. Esp when u have Best and Fantasy that both won their matches -_- Bisu looked a wreck. Map imbalance be damned, I think not sending fantasy is a mistake.

Esp when u have Best and Fantasy that both won their matches -_- Well, players prepare a ton for the maps they're pre-assigned before the match. Unless the coach forces two or more players to practice a map you stick with the choice you made before.
And it's not as if players haven't lost and won the ace match before.
Pure did just that last week.

I also feel as though Bisu did not expand aggressively enough that game, after Midas took his 3rd, Bisu could've double-expo'd, with his map control and army lead. Needed to take more risks/vary his army a bit more that game imo.

should have been fantasy, fantasy always obliterates pure

Bisu 3-0 vs Pure head to head.
Let's make that 4.

What? Bisu 3-0 Pure......

The map is pretty P favoured vs T so Best or Bisu were definitely better choices.

Bisu the golden protoss at 5. Pure the red toss at 11.
They dance to the Polaris Rhapsody!

He didn't though, just macro and arbiters which is simply not enough to beat a top level Terran. It was the same story in his other prelim games too. Maybe Bisu felt he didn't need to use his best builds to beat the prelims and would rather rely on his macro. But unless I see him dismantle a push with storms or transition into carrier, dragoon, high templar at the perfect time I'm not going to be impressed. While his macro was top level his style was outdated and one dimensional. Sorry guys. not sure why bisu played like best in that game but he has shown his old flair in many of his games though, especially the pvz/pvp department. he plays a little hard-headed in pvt sometimes, instead of doing the more common shuttle/templar tactics and such. probably wanted to win with the "spirit" style He's been doing this PvT shit for months now though. I honestly don't know if he can play modern PvT anymore. He simply doesn't do it and you can't attack move into 3-3 tanks anymore. I'm ready to write Bisu off as a sniper at this point. no i definitely know what you mean, but he certainly is capable of playing the more modern style pvt. i have seen him do it. it's puzzling why he chooses to play like that sometimes though. although he can crush many terrans with that macro, it is not the safest way to seal a victory. i still think you are being a little harsh to say that bisu is not "back" though. his flair is back, and so is his confidence. i've been really impressed with him up to this point - carrying a huge weight for his team and delivering each time. I'm pretty sure he is back, including his shaky vT vs good Terrans. The thing is, his PvT isn't just shaky. It's just wrong. He can make it work by sheer force of macro vs bad opponents but he will need to completely overhaul it into a more modern style if he ever wants to beat a Terran who plays correctly. It'd be alright if he was doing the right things but making mistakes, he could work on that or get his head in the right place and pull it together. But T>P the way he plays it and he can't undo that by skill alone when he plays the top Terrans.

bisu starts bottom this time.

Let's not fall behind economically this game, Bisu, and defend harass better - or harass better.

Midas with a beastly comeback TvP; how it happened, I don't know. But RECOMMMEND PLZ!!!
|
This is a heavily favored P map, but remember that Bisu lost against Sea on this map PvT the last time he played it live. Not good for his confidence.

Is that pylon blocking gas? lol
