You know, I think a few mnm->mech might have some merits over just plain mech

mech sucks when you have like 4 goliaths - but mnm are great in small numbers
and the stim research is cheap even if it doesn't get used later in the game

so a few mnm to cover the early vulnerability (and have early mobility/threat) transitioning to a powerful mech punch

To his credit, Fantasy is very adept at defending early game aggression, and reacted swiftly and with great prejudice to whatever Effort threw at him. Effort's general strategy and control that game was insipid, and did not give him a proper chance to win the match

phew. That was a close one. Bisu, fantasy, and best win! Now if fantasy beats skyhigh and T1 can grab another zerg win then it is all good. I wish soo and hyuk could flip maps but it looks like they are both set on 1 build 1 map.

So I'm going to wager a guess here:

The initial ling attack against the wall effort took the extractor because he thought it would let the lings run through? I know the gas effectively shrinks in size with a refinery, but I guess not for a zerg one?

If his lings did fit through when he stole the gas, then I sure didn't see it.

Good to see Fantasy win. He got a little unlucky with drawing the God of TvT twice, when he would be a favorite vs 90% of CJ Entus. Fucking clutch play vs Effort though. You can say what you want about Fantasy, but if you really need to win a game in PL, he is your man
