Not the first time he's completely screwed up. The 4 pool against Skyhigh, losing twice in the Proleague Finals, losing against Frozean and lucky to have Anytime and Forgg roll over Khan, and now basically ruining Oz's chances to get into the playoffs by losing two games he really should have no trouble winning.

Didn't JD lose to s2 at some point in the GFs too? My memory is fuzzy but I'm pretty sure his loss to one of the SKT zergs was pretty critical to their loss (And of course the double loss to fantasy).

Lost to bloody Hyuk when Hyuk was plain awful.

Hyuk was never awful, its just that he finally mastered how to hyuk the other player and not himself

The problem is, JD is the only reason that Oz HAS a chance in the first place. Sometimes he loses. Sometimes in big matches. It's a shame that Oz rarely seems to have a backup plan.

I think there has to be something about JD mentally regarding why he is so strong in BoX but sub par by his standards in 1v1s.

Maybe he just needs that mental confidence of a BoX to feel his opponent out a little bit.

I agree. There are plenty of occasions, (especially in Bo5s) where JD loses the first match. It also doesn't help that his OSL games are tomorrow.

Care to name anyone who actually is clutch instead?

Fantasy? Skyhigh? These two are PL PO Bonjwas

Trust me. If those two players are ever become skilled enough to get the high number of games in the play-offs that Jaedong under his bag, and the extra-attention from the opposing teams that comes with it, they won't look so clutch either.

Fantasy did really well in last year's finals and has been playing pretty well all of this year so...

Is it that shocking that a player got better? After all, even Boxer started off being unable to beat the computer.

Glad to see Bisu beating JD, I believed he could do it.

Jaedong is now finally walking Flash's path and feeling his pain.
9-0 in Ace matches throughout the season but it takes only one moment of "the best way to kill scourges is to give them mutalisks" to choke.
Sorry Oz, sorry.

Something is wrong with Jaedong play today... I feel missing 2% in some way.

I think it is micro. I keep saw Jaedong giving free units to Bisu during engage. And the Ace match is not epic ZvZ fighting. Just A left click watch show.

People seem to be forgetting that Jaedong pretty much had to prepare against all three races for two different maps. That doesn't justify the mistake he made in the Ace match but still, give the guy a break. Unlike KT who can save Flash for Ace specifically, Oz doesn't have that luxury.

You carry a team all year long and then lose like this and all of a sudden you're not "clutch". We had to listen to this BS with Flash last year and it looks like we'll have to listen to it with JD again this year.

Sometimes when one guy literally carries an entire team they ... run out of gas.

"clutch" is such a terrible word.

Even "metagame" is cromulent in comparison.

JD's mental toughness and presumably insane practice routine causes him to burn out sometimes.

I really seems sometimes like nobody can beat Jaedong but Jaedong. Moreso than other players...

or I've just stayed up all night and don't make sense anymore.

Fantasy only has two play-off experience under his bag. Jaedong took part in four. Jaedong's play-off statistics pretty much wipes the floor with Fantasy's if you only take the first couple of games as well.

Fantasy is a damn reliable player that you could depend on in a high stress Proleague situation. He's pretty bad in finals series but he's rock solid when he's playing low number of games.

Jaedong presumably does worse in Proleague because there is a team behind the player playing against him and thus aren't shitting their pants like Kal does or Free did against Flash. Even Fantasy played amazing SK terran against him on Outsider.

That was a really bad attack by Jeadong i don't know what he was thinking . He should have at least clumped all of his mutas when attacking and have them all in 1 clump .
