EffOrt won every game with cheese (except Game 4 which was retarded). When EffOrt was put against the wall and he was feeling nervous he relied on cheese. When Flash was put into game 5, he manned up and went 14 CC like a fucking BALLER i unno man.... I honestly think the better man lost today. God this series games 3-5 made me mad as fuck. | ||

To be 0-2 down in a OSL final vs the player who has dominated SC the last year and turn it into 3-2 victory and you say the better player lost. Flash overall is a better player then Effort, but in this final effort played better and smarter. And to say he cheesed is just sore loser mentality tbh. | ||

Now Game 1 and 2... Game 2 especially. Take game 2 and look at what position Flash was in and how he came back from it, spreading the map, dropping every where, multi-tasking the shit out of effort. There is no doubt in my mind the better player lost today and it's because sometimes all-in works and EffOrt decided to bank on that after he was down 0-2 because he was nervous and Flash already proved he would rape him in a skillful game. Now props to Effort for winning but I really think that Flash choked. He became impatient and nervous. Effort had nothing to lose and once he won 3rd game he got momentum while Flash lost it. From there it was a downhill. I'm sure the kid suffered a huge mental blow after this final (be so close to a dream and then fail) but I do hope he will be in a perfect shape against Jaedong and he will show his best. | ||

But if you take another look at the games, It's obvious that in the third game, EffOrt just micro'd Flash, he (somewhat, there's debate as to how much) fooled him into moving out, and then immediately took decisive advantage. If Flash tricks EffOrt into making a similar micro mistake, there's no way he gets all the hate that EffOrt's gotten over that. And once you have a lead like that, EffOrt knew well enough that all he had to do was keep pumping mutalisks. In game four, EffOrt expected cheese, and found cheese. No criticism for Flash trying to end the series with BBS? Probably because EffOrt made it look stupid. EffOrt's play afterwords should quell your doubts about his skill, I mean, his game-sense and micro (that ling surround) were supurb. In game five, it's obvious that EffOrt did not intend to go all-in lings, but after scouting Flash's defenses, he took advantage like anyone would. Slamming EffOrt for winning this game would be like slamming Jaedong for going "all-in lings" against fantasy in the fourth match of their OSL semi-finals meeting, where fantasy got greedy, didn't build a marine early enough, and then JD broke down his wall. In essence, the criticism of EffOrt's play is completely unfounded. There seems to be this perception that EffOrt somehow needed to beat Flash at his game to win. This makes no sense, and thankfully EffOrt never accepted that idea. In game one, EffOrt pulled a really nice build that was undone by a combination of the regame, lucky scouting, and ee han timing. In game two, he was outplayed and outmulti-tasked. It was a great game by Flash, but hardly indicative of the skill of either player. In fact, in their proleague meeting, it was EffOrt who dominated that game, and the mindgames, by going lurkers when Flash expected mutalisks, and then by going mutalisks when Flash expected more lurker/ling. Flash's defense towards the end of that game was matched only by EffOrt's own multi-task and insane macro (under 1000 resources on 10-12 bases?!?). So, honestly, G5, even if you look at the games, I see one player who has gone 4-2 over 6 games showing some great gamesense and micro, and the other who has gone 2-4, and shown some excellent play, and some glaring early game mistakes. | ||

And Effort didn't even cheese in game 5, he responded to cheese. I was crushed like fuck when Flash lost that 5th game, but you have to question Flash's decision in games 4 and 5. At the end of the day, Flash lost and no amount of whining will change that. And no, the better man won, which was Effort. | ||

You have no clue. Also you claim to to be able to due what effort did, and that is turning a 0-2 score into a 3-2 in a fucking osl final. The build might have been simple but he did it in a situation were the pressure is so huge that you cant even imagine it. Flash has fucked over any zerg who has even remotley gone to midd game vs him. So what should effort do? Go in to a final and try to go late game vs flash? No he did what he had to do to win. This is not play the proest way, this is win the final. Effort has played his way to this final, in it he used the tools he had to in order to beat the nr 1 player in the world. Flash is a better player then effort, but that does not mean he auto wins finals. In any sport you dont win games by being the better team or player before the game, you do it by being the best player in that game, or in that series. And in this bo5, effort played better then flash, had better nerves or whatever you want to call it. It sucks to lose if your a fanboy but accept that Effort won fair and square, and he do not have to apologize for this title. | ||

Doesnt matter builds, cheese, you play to win, capitilizing on miss positioning, and punishing players in their weak spots. I'm a fan of EffOrt and FlaSh. Sure FlaSh could beat Effort, but he made OBVIOUS mistakes, that Effort took advantage of. Suck it up, wipe that snot off from under your nose | ||
