I've been a Flash fan since his debut. There've been darker times than him messing up in the OSL finals. There were times when we would have traded anything for him to make the freaking round of 8 of either league.
Flash is 17 ... he's made 5 finals already ... he's just hitting his stride as a progamer. This isn't his last gasp - this is how he's going to play for the next few years, and he'll never be caught up to completely (just like Jaedong never has been the last 3 years for Zergs).
This was a tough loss but he'll be back. I actually still think he has a good chance of beating Jaedong. There were a lot of lessons for him to learn in the series today. Also, maybe Effort will even practice with him (something that was probably less likely if Flash had just beat him).

I dunno, I thought the one who won more games deserves the title.
In hockey/baseball/ whatever sports, it doesn't matter if you win a few games 10-0 and then proceed to lose 3-2 2-1 etc, etc. Theres an example in baseball which I can't remember in which the losing team won a couple of blowouts, but lost a lot of close games, and therefore not winning the title.

That really wasn't worth the four whatever hours I spent watching it.
Congrats to Effort, though. Shocking, to say the least.

I think he has learned (or maybe more accurately, it has come back to his attention) that he can be too greedy, that he is most vulnerable in early game, and that he still needs to come up with a way to control his nerves during finals. Sure, he probably knew all this already, but being smacked up the head with the fact like this will probably spurn him on to work on these things in earnest, and hopefully give us an entertaining MSL finals.

Instead of smashing this kid, winning the golden mouse, gaining a shitload of confidence, then beating Jaedong next week and finally being recognized as bonjwa and the greatest SC player to ever walk this earth, he'll now start doubting and 'reinventing' himself which will lead to him losing 3-0 to jaedong where he'll try some stupid shit builds ala fantasy and FAIL. And then OGN and MBC will announce that there will be no more SC1 tournaments and flash will end up in a mad house and we can all kill ourselves.

I feel really happy for Effort, Coach Cho, and CJ.
They lost their iconic figure to a horrible cheating scandal, and found out not only was he losing on purpose, but was betraying the team to do so. Remember, Savior was their big brother, their role model, and someone they looked up to as they rose through the CJ ranks.
And now, almost as if to wipe the slate clean, Savior's heir replaces him. I feel this win means so much more to CJ and CJ fans than before.

Yeah I can't imagine how Coach Cho must have felt. Savior was the only player who has won a gold since CJ Entus was founded.
He must have thought that he(Coach himself) is a failure, the only winner was a cheat...

For me, the thing that sets Jaedong apart from all the other programers is that he has the most beastly mental state. He laughs at mental games and NEVER gets shaken, just murders bitches no matter what.

Match fixing? ;-)
Nah... Gratz to Effort, well deserved.

Yeah I really really hope this doesn't kill his confidence and send him into some career-ruining slump :/. The again he's slumped before and come back stronger than ever. I really can't see him beating Jaedong though, although I can only hope he can get his shit together in time.

He's lost big games and won some. Even JD couldn't close the deal against SKT1 in the finals. I mean come on. After his first OSL (when he was 14 and they had a 3rd place bo5 match), Flash has only lost bo5's to JD, forGG, and now Effort. Reviewing his record in finals from TLPD, I admit I was a bit harsh on Flash. I'm just so disappointed in the mistakes Flash made in that series and felt like he definitely would have won easily if he held his nerve.

Although Flash is beastly skill wise, I do think he is a bit lacking in the mental game, he is very young after all and mental strength comes with age. Dong has been around for awhile and he is well seasoned.

this season of the dutch eredivise, their premier football league. ajax dropped some few points carelessly in the beginning of the season and then went on to roflstomp the whole league. in the end twente became champions with 86 points and 63:23 goals, compared to ajax with 85 points and 106:20 goals.
this somehow feels like flash not winning this osl. but i dont blame any1 or anything else than flash´s own stupidity for going for the most retarded build ever, a 14cc. he might be a robot, but it seems like artificial robot AIs still got their troubles with learning from their past failures.
but maybe he was really just not giving a fuck and preferred to risk losing this series with retarded builds, just to keep his true builds for the series against jd hidden at all costs. a possible explanation, but i doubt it.
gz effort, u as a player deserve it. assessing the quality of ur games in this osl, i have to say though that u dont deserve it at all.
