I really feel like Flash intentionally sacrificed 9 to keep Ruby's units there. Anyone else noticed how he immediately after containing, grabbed 3 more expos?

He did say after his loss vs hyvaa (where his army got contained in a bad spot) that he learnt something important. Maybe this is Flash's new innovation.

No way - his response to losing it was perfect but why would he intentionally sacrifice 9 as opposed to just killing all the Dropships with the stuff in it?

I don't think that he meant to (as he was guarding it with his wraiths in a nice surround when he secured the expo). He definitely acted fast and made good use of the situation though (not that those units would have made a HUGE difference, but still).

Well, the situation of killing all the dropships wouldn't have arosen, Ruby scanned for wraiths before going in and Flash had moved them all away.

That said I agree that it is entirely possible that he did not do it on purpose, I just felt like it was very planned out.

Either way, I don't see how Ruby expected to drop the island and not lose all his Dropships. Even if his drop succeeded (which is exactly what happened), how did he expect to get his Dropships back when Flash had like 7 Wraiths? Terrible decision by Ruby.

It was 3 tanks and 4 goliaths. It wasn't worth an expo in the case of intentionally sacrificing it, since flash already built a scanner and plenty of scvs.

He did make the best of the situation though, and it made taking over the middle of the map easier (note that regardless, he had almost twice the # of units Ruby had at that point so those trapped units wouldn't have changed the outcome).
