It just seems like people care more about these 'meta starcraft watching' issues than the actual games and it's getting lame reading about it in every thread. Well what else is there to discuss about Flash's games? Except for the rare games he loses, every single one just has him getting more units, microing them well, and completely rolling over their opponent. The only thing you can actually say about those games, without using the benefit of hindsight, is that Flash outclassed his opponents. That's why everyone goes on about the 'meta starcraft watching' because there is literally nothing to say about tonight besides Pure played pretty mediocre and Flash played his standard game.

You see, now that I've mentioned it people stopped talking about bonjwas and started talking about the actual games. You're welcome.

Pures strategy was to flip a coin for 1 base obs, or 12 nex. which is a very very good strategy against a better player. A good player like Flash, cannot afford to play BBS more then 15% of the time if he wants to retain his 70%+ winning rate versus a protoss playing 50:50 12 nex 1 base ops. That means his 12 nex has an incredible 85% chance to be uncountered early. Which was exactly what happened. never did flash did a super hard counter to his 12 nex, and he was ahead in the macro game (even if it was for 1-2 minutes till flash did his early third) In 2 out of the games, Pure was able to hold 2 more bases then flash for a good 1 minute+. Against a normal Terran, pure would have dominated them easily. The only mistake Pure made, is the terran is Flash. Thats all that is to it. versus any other terran (light?Sea?), pure would have 3-0'd them no problem with this strategy. However Flash is too good for him. Look at how in game 2 flash completely used the map to his advantage, using 4-5 tanks and buildings to hold an entire 10 gateway army inside the main with arbiters. Look how well flash spread his tanks. he never had many tanks stasis'd, only vultures. Flash = art and thats all to it.

I'm a CJ fan but either way I think an Effort vs Flash finals would be more entertaining, and so does Flash (see interview)

He knows he's not as good as Flash, so he took an early econ advantage assuming Flash wouldn't want to play risky against a weaker player. He got a modestly advantageous position every game because he opened greedy vs. standard play. A modestly advantageous position is enough to win from if you play good and never give up that lead. Pure played bad, and readily handed the lead back to Flash, who of course kept it and won. A fuckton of pro Terrans can do the same thing. 12nexus doesn't end the game, no matter how hard certain Terrans whine about it.

I havent watched the games but it's seems kinda stupid to say "the only mistake pure made, is the terran is flash" first of all it doesnt even gramatically sense and also Flash is human too, he does mistakes too and he can be beaten if you do less mistakes then him. So of course Pure made mistakes, nobody doesn't. If pro gamers had your mindset then flash would have a 100% winning percentage.
