seems like great is not going back in the booth... posturing? or are we going to finally see MSL pay for their incompetence and have a player refuse to participate edit: Show nested quote +On May 06 2010 20:52 KristianJS wrote: But if he PPed and said "lol I can't manage to expo" then Calm would have know exactly what was going on.... that's a good point

This is a pretty big screw up. Hosting the game with the wrong map, or distributing the wrong map to the players, either is pretty bad.

He must have played that map 100s of times. He would know something is wrong, i don't think he failed to expand like 50% of the practicegames.
He must pause when the problem occur, otherwise he will play on and get victory if he win and rematch if he lose, now thats really unfair aswell.

MSL - when in doubt Commercial yourself out.

It looked like great did everything he possibly can to try and see the geyser. It looks like he got close enought to the invisi eggs and moved around. Map imba.

um... first off, you can't ask for a ppp just like that. Why? because the ref would first have to decide whether or not the game will continue or regame after evaluation. That would basically mean Calm would know what Great was originally planning to do and great would be screwed if the game was decided to be continued. So at the spur of the moment, Great probably decided to improvise.
btw, This is just all my own speculation

Exactly this. Playing on in that situation has to mean this. If you get a rematch when you lose and a win you win would be unfar for Calm. Great made a mistake not PPPPPPPing

according to caster... samsung coach actually told ref. there was something wrong with the map, drone not being able to pass the invisible egg in mid of game yet ref. did not take any action.
after the game.. issue brought up, ref is asking why he didnt "ppp"?
i guess u guys saw a screen where samsung coach was furiously talking to ref about it..
caster shows little mercy to great for not being able to PPP due to shock and confusion he may had in during game.

Yep, agree. If January is so sure something is wrong with the map, then great must have been very confident in practice, then he shld have ppp'ed. I feel bad for Calm.

However, I think the issue here was decisive in that game, especially in a ZvZ where the slightest mistake or delay can cost you.

Yeah If he'd paused, the series wouldn't have been ruined for the players. Now there's no fair way to judge it.
