Because compared with other P's his PvZ is pretty good, or at least used to be. I think it's mostly that in the MSL finals against Jaedong a while back he actually put up a good fight.

Kal is probably the most solid Protoss right now, but I have to agree with Mortality that his PvZ is nothing special, relatively speaking (though he was a great PvZer in the dragon days). Movie, Shuttle and a back in form Jangbi have put up better results recently. His "good fight" against Jaedong was him getting 3-0ed. He lost to Soulkey and Hyuk (granted, Hyuk tricked him with his opening and Kal's scarabs later failed en masse). His PvT on the other hand is pretty sexy, as his drops, multitasking and good battle micro can really overwhelm his Terran opponents. I didn't watch the first two games, but after reading the thread it sounds like his multitasking did the job. This isn't the first time that he's at a disadvantage and comes back with crazy drops (watch his game vs ggaemo during WL).

If you go back just to this time last year, through the end of the first WL his overall record PvZ was 32-18 (64%). Over the same time his PvT was 39-27 (59%) and PvP 28-31 (47%). Over the last year, he's gone 21-25 vs Zerg (46%), 27-10 vs Terran (73%), and 17-5 vs Protoss (77%). His PvZ obviously has slipped down to merely decent, but overall that's an absolutely massive improvement in two matchups at the expense of the other one. Wonder what happened?

Same thing that happens to many progamers. They get too confident in leading matchups and spend a lot of time practicing for weaker MUs. Must feel good to be Hwasin. He finally won a game after getting 0-3d in the last 3 Osls. Also, fuck go.go. Someone squash this insect before it spreads its filthy disease all over this OSL.

It's not Shine's fault that Stork can't figure out how to beat pure mutas in a 25 minute game :/ get over it please.

Shine still did what he wanted to do: Get further into the OSL to get to the Finals-not to roll over when a "star" player comes around and let the player beat him. And anyways, it wasn't necessarily Shine's fault either in that Stork would have had to get past Movie too to get to Flash in the first place. Who knows what would happen in that OSL Semifinal?

Zero played great, knowing exactly how to counter the tech switch, having lost to it before in a dramatic WL game, but it was also very poor play by fantasy in general. He didn't pressure Zero, he didn't harass at all (didn't even make one dropship), he let his units sit around everywhere collecting dust, he made absolutely no attempt to micro his m&m, and he lost the game to 5-overlords worth of zerg units. He was lazy, ill-prepared, and assumed that his awkward tech switch (denchanic-whatever-thing) would win the game, with the assumption that Zero would spam ultralisks and lings, and be blown apart by mines and siege. Fantasy's so average at TvZ, that instead of improving his management, macro, or micro, he's just pulling out these half-assed builds and crossing his fingers hoping he won't have to put in any real effort to win.

That and he was known for bm that isn't as funny as FBH (who people give flak to anyway for the same list as go.go) and doesn't play as well, either. In fact, he is like FBH crap.

Wonder what happened? well to be fair he met jaedong from the dates u noted 10 times and lost all 10 for some reason the guy keeps meeting the best zvp ever to be born 16 in total and won 3...... kal's pvz is not deteriorating its just jaedong's zvp is just the only s class that's left in jaedong (when he is not mad - if so than its automatically transforms to j vs ) i think its awesome he improved with his other 2 matches and u can see it clearly as he is the leader in both kespa and elo from the protoss clan . def the most solid protoss out there (consistent) stork has greater potential (but cant maintain consistency lately) but like someone allready said he cant beat flash or jaedong so he need to get lucky
