He played super passively. I thought PM was going to win earlier when he still had an army backed by 7 bases, but he was gracious enough to walk it into minefields/EMPs so the game turned into an elimination race.

I don't think Perfectman is that bad, but Light is mainly known for beating zergs. His TvP and TvT, although strong is not so spectacular. If Light was playing a zerg, he probably would be playing against zero right now.

Light is pretty damn solid, I think he just overextended himself in the last game, trying to defend the entire line of defense instead of focusing on defending more on 7/8. Watch his games vs BeSt and Bisu to see what I mean.
