That doesn't make any sense at all lololol. Why would anyone just post random bracket images with scores, lol. Especially considering none of the other broadcasts did that. It doesn't make any logical sense.

That was just a really dumb excuse. It would have been better for TL admins to be like "woops we made a mistake, sorry about that folks" instead of coming up with that really lame excuse.

I mean, it's perfectly normal for tournaments to post random images of results just to fuck with the fans! Imagine if the world cup did that :p

I think it was a good idea to make people enjoy the games, but still, a screw up like that should not happen.

Good series non the less, freaking yanks, I hope you lose the hockey at least!

It's pretty insulting and stupid.

But besides that, thanks tsl and pokerstrategy.com for the awesome tournament. =)
We have multiple brackets generated in advance. Relax . (Kennigit) I just simply do not understand how it can be the time to play can be 22nd at 9:30 pm PST / midnight the 23rd at the same time. (GGzerg)

yeah haha what part of spamming the thread with fake result images was supposed to be convincing. It just made no sense haha

Hahaha yeah that was pretty much fail. Although it was better than nothing and better than mods doing fishy edits. The guys who were spamming mondragon 4-2 spoiler were doing a good job though.

thank teamliquid and pocketstrategy for runiing this tourney, so interesting

Lol pocketstrategy.

Why are you people whining, are you seriously saying that you would have prefered them to say "YES THE RESULTS WERE 4-2" instead of covering it up and make everyone actually wonder about it. So fucking what if the results actually were 4-2? Were the games less entertaining because the series ended in those numbers? It's not like you knew for sure what the results were, which would've seriously fucked up the viewing experience.

Good job covering it up guys! At least it gave me a little peace of mind.

Wonderfully played series, gfgs.

Despite this weird possible spoiler-thing early on, for most of the series I believed I wasnt spoiled, so it was really tense and exciting (who saw Nony coming back with a sweep after losing the shuttle then the third base in game 3?), and the quality of play was outstanding, huge props to both players!
And I'm glad Nony won, congratulations!

And huge thanks to all involved in bringing this to us, obviously.

What they were trying to do was cultivate some doubt so that the viewers could rationalize believing the spoiled results weren't real. They weren't suggesting that they stuck random images in, but that one of the pre-generated result bracket images was accidentally put in the slide show.

If even one viewer allowed himself to believe it and enjoyed the games more as a result, it was worth it.

I thought the "spoiler" said 4-2 to mondi.. hmh.

And assuming the graphics team doesn't know the results obviously they're going to make the brackets for every single result, these people even make fake replays if the games end up too early so it wouldn't be too far.

It would have been nice of the TL staff to say they did make a mistake at the end. Unfortunately the way the world works is that they don't need to say anything, and most of the people who weren't spoiled will not have that clue that it happened.

I would like to hear story behind this fuck up. I believed zatic's post so I didnt think it was real tho, Great finals even with the early delay + spoiler. I really liked the games.

I actually didn't know the results had been flashed on the stream at that point.
