frankly i think it's bullshit. you've probably never been in a situation remotely comparable to flash's and while i don't doubt that you can imagine or read about or figure out scientifically how he was feeling you obviously haven't done so.

if i were flash i would have been absolutely crushed and might've lifted all my buildings on a whim or built supply depots saying fuck you kespa fuck you mbc.

I'm so upset with this I can't even imagine watching another starcraft match right now. And winner's league is coming up. Fuck.

Game 3 ended with an advantage to JD, but not enough of one to call it (I can't wait for the VOD, not that it matters now thanks to Kespa). And yes, like others said, game 4 was an utter disgrace, you could see Flash wasn't himself, and you can't blame him.

MBC proved they are well deserving of the hate they've been getting this past week (ever since that flash overlay on the kal/jd game, followed by the virtual studio announcement)
I'm going to sleep, let me get some of that carpet.

Don't forget that FlaSh's dad was kicked out of the event, that must be pretty distracting. Still, Jaedong was the superior player in games 1 and 4. 3 is up for debate obviously.

Everyone was robbed by that.

JD's win was completely undermined, despite some fantastic play, particularly in game 3. Flash's heart was completely undermined, his play in game 4 was just depressing.

One thing to note though is mental strength. That's a situation in which mental strength is critical. JD is the man who comes back from anything at full strength. Every time people have said "this'll be the start of the end of the JD era" he turns up a week later stronger than ever. In a situation like this that ability to just detatch from the reality and play your top game is huge. JD is the better player in that regard.

Perhaps but Flash took a bigger mental hit than Jaedong did. Flash had pretty much lost that third game and I think he knew that, but then he saw his coaches and his old man go bonkers against the referees. That couldn't have been helpful while concentrating on the next game.

Jaedong just had to wait really.

How do you know that you think Flash lost? If he lost he would of typed GG.

It wasn't a certainty yet but JD had a huge lead. And knowing you lost doesn't mean you immediately have to type out. Remember set 2 of Flash vs Best.

And it's 'would have'.

That's not the point, Flash never typed GG, he didn't legitimately lost until he typed GG. Jaedong was given a win by KeSpa. Like I said before it wasn't fair to neither player that the game was halted.

Nobody is saying Flash legitimately lost. JD was just ahead and likely (note: likely) would have won the game. Replaying it would have been unfair, giving JD the win would have been unfair. It was a lose/lose situation

I'm feeling so sad. That was one of the best finals ever till the blackout. The Hype, the players and skill, the 1:1 and the mind-blowing set 3.

I do think Jaedong had the game, and it wasn't a freewin given to jaedong. But the fact that a kespa decision was needed (Note: No hate to kespa this time. There was NOT a right decision for kespa to make. A win for JD and a rematch both would have been unfair), and all the crap happening after, totally ruined the finals.

Also, even when the finals would have turned out normal, the virtual studio crap totally would have ruined the atmosphere. No jumping out of the cabine, no ceremony, nothing.

Summary: Well done MBC. You had the opportunity to host one of the most amazing finals ever and totally fucked it up.

Game 3: 3 base + army vs 0.5 base + 5 medics. => JD won
Game 4: After 1 hour of dad rage flash lost his nerve, he's 17 ffs. JD's been under pressure too many times to be unsettled by some bickering or space station shit, he just rolled the baby-flash.

Are you joking? Game 2 flash did intentionally stop the scourge, its been shown on a fpv he dose this on purpose, game 3 Flash was on 2 base vs 2 base, IT WAS EVEN (both players mains mined out, jd wasnt mining from his 4th), Game 4 flash just gave up

Blackout: It's what happens when managers try to get creative and get players to play on a space station rather than in a regular studio.

The only impact the power outage actually had was the influence on both players for the last game and ofcourse ruining the finals for the PEOPLE. I'm sure Jaedong himself knows he'd have won the third set, though the last probably felt like lackluster.

It appeared as if Flash had already decided to bunker rush on Fighting Spirit beforehand. If the crash didn't happen maybe Flash had, for some reason, realized it was quite obvious and predictable and chosen another build.

You're right, but who's to blame for that? Only Flash.

Actually, I'd blame the KT coaches and Flash's dad for making far more of a drama out of it than it really needed to be. Regardless of what you thought the outcome should be, it was very clear that it was a lose/lose situation. Making a fuss over it only served to unsettle Flash and seal his fate in the 4th game.

i and most others disagree that flash dominated jaedong second game. jaedong went guards which was silly. gg

uh... i think he probably gave it up intentionally.

the mental burdens on JD and Flash were even on the same scale.

Stop complaining about game 4. Flash clearly disliked the map as he thumbed-down it and went for his standard 8-rax rush, which wasn't out of blue. He's planned it out and done this plenty of times vs JD, Kwanro, etc. He also had to deal with JD's soulread 3-hatch before pool vs his FE so 8rax was a logical counter. So in game 4, controversy aside, that's pretty much Flash's build.

Unfortunately for him, for the 4th time today (4/4 games or 100%), JD read him like an open book, opened pool first and won the game.

OBVIOUSLY FLASH SUCKS FOR NOT PLAYING PERFECT STARCRAFT AFTER HAVING A WIN HANDED OVER TO HIS OPPONENT AND HAVING HIS TEAM AND COACH FIGHT WITH REFS FOR AN HOUR AND HAVING HIS DAD ESCORTED AWAY BY SECURITY

if only flash was good enough to wipe his mind clear of all that like the bonjwa jaedong then maybe he would deserve a starleague title but lol he sucks
