I guess I know you're kinda joking, but really, it's clear MBC is in a tight place at the moment just by looking at the crazy finals setup here. It sucks so badly for them that this incident happened in their big match. Wishing them ill is just... when im sayin "painful consequences", im not referring to death or somehthin stupid, but to a financial penalty or somethin like that IT IS MBC's fault, unquestionably

Because of the stuff about the 1k spectator cap, I got the impression that they were renting the venue, and therefore have no control over backup power generators. Also, are we sure they didn't have backup power generators? The power was out for only like 5 seconds. I'm not sure how long it takes to transfer to the backups, but I doubt it's instantaneous. And for all those people saying to look at the replay, there isn't a replay. Replays are autosaved when a game ends. Since the computers crashed, no replay was saved. Doesn't matter. It's a big event, they should have had a contingency plan for this revolving around limited backup power to the players and their small studio so that they could continue the game if there was a power outage.

Doesn't mean the decision is fair but I must agree with this: On January 23 2010 19:46 Monkeyz_Rule wrote: Jaedong was just barely able to "win" despite getting away with 3 hatch before pool, getting a good ling surround early game, having his 3rd go unscouted for so long because flash was expecting him to take bottom left first, on top of just incredible mutaling play. As much as I hate how the game ended, I don't think they could have done anything else; giving a rematch would have turned a big advantage for JD into a big disadvantage because his entire, somewhat risky, game plan was already revealed on a map that is T favored. It's not like you can just turn back time and replay that map like nothing had happened, JD would be screwed so hard. Either decision is unfair, I do think that it was the right decision but this is obviously fucked up.

The KT team has left the building, citing their refusal to accept KESPA's decision. Source: http://www.fomos.kr/board/board.php?mode=read&keyno=103322&db=interview

Same sort of situation and we know that 10 min later jd made the comeback and was having the advantage. So many people on this site seriously talk in here about such stuff and cant even play starcraft to know how comeback heavy the game is.

I'm surprised you didn't just petition MBC to cancel the entire thing and retroactively change the score to 3-0 Jaedong. No offense to JD fans, but I'm offended. I have been hoping for good games in these finals and no more. I predicted 3-1 Flash. The point is, my assessment has nothing to do with a player preference, which in this case does not exist. Instead, it has to do with an understanding of what was happening in that game. I'm not sure why you would make some crazy personal attack on me over my statement, but you appear to be raging, so I understand the impulse. I won't return in kind, but I would like you to consider the possibility that you are more emotional than reasonable about this.
