And he had a ton of sunks in his choke and nydus to the islands. He was feeling so comfortable, because frankly the only thing that could break him was dmatrixed dropships. He got complacent, but really it was the insanely good decision making by the winner that carried it. It was a mistake by JD, but it wouldn't have mattered that much without Flash's insane little tactic there.

He even dmatrix'd which was essential. If he hadn't done the dmatrix dropship attack he wouldn't have won. I wrote more about game 1, but I think that the map and JD's build played a big role in the win there. I have seen both of these games as extremely high level. JD has played a little unconventionally in both, which I expected, and it has worked for him. It's been a great series so far. You do it nowhere near enough credit. First game I don't see how any T was going to win once he went for an un-turreted main with sim city to screw over his un-ranged marines vs mutas. It was just a bad build by flash, gambling Jaedong's mutas would either not check the main or wouldnt get past like 8 un-ranged marines defending it. Second game Jaedong blew it with his offensive guardians. There was no need to 'delay' or 'buy time': just morph them (if you want to at all) in your main and he was way ahead. The fancy execution by Flash overshadowed the fact that Jaedong threw it away.
