Four of the QLD B v VIC B games are postponed for monday.
RULES AMENDMENT: Note the addition of replacement players for each game. This is utilised such that if a player cannot turn up on time or does not show within 30minutes of the designated time (without prior notice and arrangements) they will be replaced with the designated replacement. If then the replacement cannot be contacted or play a walkover will be issued. Also this ensures there are no 'surprises' when it comes to what matchups you might want to practice for.
SHOWMATCH UPDATE: The format and selection criteria for the Showmatch have been updated somewhat:
Format will be a BO7, with individual games being BO3 (subject to change upon discussion with EG and Colbi).
Team members: The team will be a State Team All-Star team in which the best performing player from each State team will be included in addition to two members from the two finalist teams acting as team captain and co-captain (i.e. they choose the lineup order or w/e).

This ties it in to the SoO thing  Otherwise why not just rename it TeamAus vs. EG and call it a nation war.
Also the additional picks for the finalist teams supports this, and I will make sure no one purposefully tries to set it up so they get in (like preventing 2nd in the state from playing or putting them on a bad map or w/e) not that I expect that to happen.

You have to have the time organised by sunday and let someone know or replacements take over for your game if you're not within 30mins of the assigned time.
Karni sent some emails but I thought he got no response. Your replacements only took over at like 8:30PM this arvo cos you and dancers were nowhere to be seen and had not replied in thread to emailed with a new time.

NSWACT B is through to the finals, you can play out the rest of the games at your leisure if you like just to try and get/prevent a cleansheet or for practice or fun but the result is already determined.

Bad captaining! I joke - well hided and paul were on but seemed to never play, osiris was not on and suttal.tea couldn't play so they will have to play tonight or be replaced. Wretched slept in and hide wasn't online either so they can play theirs tonight as well. If the players not showing up persists we can play it with replacements who are online or just disclude the game entirely.

starrbren -> Busy for a few weeks
Crisis)man - C/C+ Protoss
Smacey - C- protoss (mainly 2v2er)
Fight - C protoss
EdgE - C+ zerg
no terrans, 1 zerg (myself) and i'm not too good.
Now i know what you mean, and i've complained like a bitch to del aswell, but it's a state tournament to judge the best state and best players from each one, not to get the fairest teams ever.
It sucks but we have to deal with it.
If you merge both vic teams, what about the SA team? Bit selfish to think of your teams first.

Am i completely retarded or is Victoria the only team separated into 2 teams Entus and T1.
Thus the players are all Victorian.
Furthermore, we dont have even 1 player from Tasmania playing. (vicTAS)
And additionally, we have only used 4 players on our roster
Pinder, KarnivooL, PerfectHydra, FrZ.
Playahz is yet to show up for a match and Preds always pissed lieing in gutters.
Which means in the playoffs/finals we wont even be able to field a full team because Victoria is broken up into 2 squads.
I think the system is good during the regular series games but i think it would just be fair if VICTAS ENTUS could maybe have an 1 import player from the VICTAS T1 team, as QLD got with Leg.

They were seperated in 2 because you had so so many players. 3 players were introduced to QLD's team during the tournament. Del didn't expect it to happen.
So what player should we get then? we have 1 team, with probably less active players than your vic team, and in finals del suggested they use me twice because of sheer lack of numbers. Who does my team borrow from?

VICTAS ENTUS are making the finals and VICTAS T1 aren't.
They are both Victorian teams and were separated to make the whole competition fairer.

So why wouldn't Victoria gets its strongest team for the finals?
I fail to see how SAWA comes into it. SAWA only have the players that are in their 2 states to choose from and they dont get any extra players. having you play twice seems fine to me.
Additionally, SAWA aren't secured a spot in the finals yet either.
If SAWA make finals but dont have enough players, seems logical that you can choose some1 to play twice to me.

Victoria was split into 2 seperate teams. That could have never happened, but it has.
You have 2 completely different teams now. Vic 1 and Vic 2. They are both victorian, but seperate teams. You don't suddenly change it all and have the 2 teams combine. If Del runs this tournament again, he may put the vic team together, or make it like 1 player from each state in a team - whatever.
The fact is this tournament has 2 victorian teams due to the amount of players.
It may seem unfair to you right now since QLD got star packed players middle of the season and del did nothing about it, and it IS unfair, but we have to deal with it. Suddenly adding your teams together seems weird as you have played as 2 completely different teams.
Just get you to play twice in your game. if i have to if we get there. you will.
Also we could be secured a spot, but i'm the ace player, and get destroyed by every other teams ace except Brad (lol)
Anyway - think of it one last time like this
2 vic teams join. only 1 makes it to the top 3. Let's suddenly put them both together since 1 made it!

But... it's a state tournament, not a fairness tournament, we are finding the best state and the best players.

So Victoria has 2 teams, from the one STATE, one which made the finals, but can't play with their best STATE players.
If we go by your reasoning then having Victoria as 2 completely separate teams simply HAS TO MEAN that it is a "fairness" tournament, and thus the STATE where some1 is from doesn't mean anything.
It was unfair to have Victoria as 1 team because not every1 would get to play etc, so they were split up. Therefore dividing the skill between two teams and diluting the chance of any Vic team reaching the finals at all. So that means its not about who has the best state and its players at all.
So if you continue that, then adding a former pro gamer to a QLD squad just coz he's from QLD half way through makes, u guessed it, no sense.
But, if we solve the problem of not having enough players in the new BO7 format by 1 or 2players playing twice from each TEAM, then that'll work.

We will see if you can't get enough players and it will impact on the legitimacy of the finals you might be able to get one at random and one that joined 1/2 way through (seeing as they could have easily been in your team) but in the future if there is to be a 2nd season the teams may look something more like this

Your saying soO (State of Origin) is a STATE tournament and has nothing to do with fairness.
But then your saying its a TEAMS tournament, which that has nothing to do with STATE.

So Victoria has 2 teams, from the one STATE, one which made the finals, but can't play with their best STATE players.
If we go by your reasoning then having Victoria as 2 completely separate teams simply HAS TO MEAN that it is a "fairness" tournament, and thus the STATE where some1 is from doesn't mean anything.
It was unfair to have Victoria as 1 team because not every1 would get to play etc, so they were split up. Therefore dividing the skill between two teams and diluting the chance of any Vic team reaching the finals at all. So that means its not about who has the best state and its players at all.
So if you continue that, then adding a former pro gamer to a QLD squad just coz he's from QLD half way through makes, u guessed it, no sense.
But, if we solve the problem of not having enough players in the new BO7 format by 1 or 2players playing twice from each TEAM, then that'll work.
I can't get my point to you properly, but it seems like you want to make 2 wrongs go together to form a right.
Put it this way - the tournament is still about fun - and it encourages getting EVERYONE to play. Victoria has 2 teams that are both better filled than my 1 team, so if you combine them, some would miss out playing on the a-team, when otherwise they would on say - my team. This is the same for the current queensland.
It's not all about winning and getting your states best players all out there, but i see what you mean about splitting it up.
I think now, you should be able to borrow a player. Add TTSeason to your lineup if you make the finals, in hindsight, i think it's a good idea.

Why would the 2 vic teams be cojoined in the finals when they have been competing separately for the whole of the tournament?
Why bitch about this now when you could have brought it up before the tournament even began?
Why would Leg being added make any difference to your team not having enough players / the 2 vic teams joining up?

I don't remember you telling me this? Also it has happened multiple times and your replacement wasn't there so the w.o. stands - I think I covered in the rules that excessive laggers or d/cers would have to forfeit their games if it lagged/disconnected etc.
