Even Stats is a pretty straightforward player from what I've seen. Jangbi is one of the more harass oriented PvP players. He was like the king of storm drops. During is runs, I remember where he rarely engaged the opponent's army until he had severely crippled their economy.
Sorry, after seeing Movie's amazing comeback versus Pure, all memories of Jangbi's harrassment style PvP seem to have gone.

Obviously Ruby vs Jaedong would have been a better match, but in general there's not much to like about Ruby. He's decent, he's in ACE, so what? He's not a "real" representative of ACE, he's more like an underachieving gamer who never worked hard enough to fulfill his potential in MBC so he just ducked out and went to ACE.
If anything, he steals a lineup appearance from someone I actually want to see (Xellos/Casy/Cloud anyone? Hell I'd rather see Darkelf). Ruby was just a lazy gamer who had a couple decent moments, and now he's in ACE ... great. I could care less. Wow that's insightful /sarcasm
Gee sorry if you like Ruby. Doesn't change the fact that he was lazy in MBC and a big underachiever. He could have been better but didn't work hard enough, that's the truth.

Hmm I might have to root for Bogus here....
rofl this would mean we miss out another Flash vs JD final x.o

No man, people would have said "Jaedong, whyyyy do you 4pool and make your fans so scared? Play standard please!" and "Wow, Firefist actually played that well... Jaedong really fucked up there, though". You're just bitter that Bisu isn't in either league, I bet. I'm bitter because many people seem to have a lack of respect (in my eyes) for pro gamers that are not band-wagoned, seemingly enjoying it when they lose. All these pro gamers work/train incredibly hard. Maybe this thread is not a perfect example but there's barely anyone that says "Too bad Firefist, better luck next time" without being sarcastic. This just annoys me very much and it happens pretty much every thread. Oh and for your info, I'm a fan of Fantasy and BeSt, not Bisu. SKT T1 != Bisu. Firefist had a Gatorade bandwagon going before his cheese on Ruby put people off. So you're right, this thread is not the perfect example of what you're saying. And this disproves what? Nobody is supporting Firefist because of what he did to Ruby, not because people automatically brush off relatively unknown players which seems to be what you are saying. If you picked another player to defend, like say, Frozean, then I would probably be agreeing with you.
I was among the people disappointed that Ruby got 4pooled out of the MSL, but that doesn't mean you should hate Firefist for it. He did what he had to do to win.
Frozean is indeed a better example than Firefist, this was just the last straw that made me post about it.

Is Stats lower ranked than Bogus? I think so, but that is why no upsets... Yeah he is, in which case there's no way he doesn't face JD right? Stats is guaranteed 8th seed and JD is guaranteed 1st ... too bad for him. He honestly would have had a better chance against Flash (the likely #2 seed) haha. Really though, he was screwed no matter who he got, and should have just let jangbi win. yeah but jangbi vs jaedong wouldnt be any better either. at least we still dont know clearly stat's ability to pvz, whereas jangbi, we all know his pvz ability (or lack thereof). I thought Jangbi was ranked high enough that he would have avoided Jaedong/Flash, but maybe I am wrong. But yeah, you bring up a good point. Imagine if Jangbi had a shot at Flash though...
Jangbi vs. Flash would probably end even worse than Jaedong vs Stats. Flash dies to the dragons but his TvP is still very good. Compare this to Jangbi who is still slumping so hard that he has shown that he pretty much forgot how to play PvT during his game against Really.

Sorry I forgot about Guemchi, who's the 7th seed if he wins and Bogus loses. But I think Guemchi is likely to lose to Hwasin (already down 1-0) so Kwanro winning twice, Guemchi losing, and Best winning is by no means impossible. Would be unfortunate if that happened. Of course Flash needs to win too....

wow so if Flash somehow loses against JD tomorrow, we could very well see Flash winning no SL again...

Or maybe Flash will crush Best if they meet in the MSL.
ye of little faith

GJ Stats! :-) Alright Kal! <3
Boooo Firefist, go wash your face with rotten tomatoes and never come back.

"Always" ? Flash was the king of crushing protoss last year. Won 2 tournaments by stomping Bisu, Anytime and Storkx2.

He has the highest elo peak and current elo vs protoss for all terrans.

Flash is something like 2-12 against strong protoss (Kal, Best, Free, Bisu, Stork, Jangbi) this year. No one ever would vote Flash against a mediocre toss, but against those six? This year sucked for the six dragons even in PvT, but somehow against Flash they always played their best. I know I'd rater LB on Best and Stork than Flash. And I guess Bisu too.
EDIT: Ignore the "dragons sucked in PvT this year" Each of them has 65%+ win rate against terran.

I'm not saying he's bad or weak against Protoss. It's just that if you compare his TvP to his other two MUs, there's a noticeable distinction. I would pick Flash over ANY Terran or Zerg (even Jaedong) at the moment, but not against a decent PvTer (Stork or Best).

Flash has got a pretty crummy record vs the top teir protoss this year but by no means would you say flash is fucked vs someone like stork or best, hes still 50-50 with them all

Slump, JangBi, slump, you shouldn't play starcraft

i think hes trying to say "theyre really freaking good" without sounding too gushy. these protosses are a big threat to flash. especially stork and best who tend to turn into destroyers of worlds when they vs terran
