You're just bitter that Bisu isn't in either league, I bet.

I'm bitter because many people seem to have a lack of respect (in my eyes) for pro gamers that are not band-wagoned, seemingly enjoying it when they lose. All these pro gamers work/train incredibly hard.
Maybe this thread is not a perfect example but there's barely anyone that says "Too bad Firefist, better luck next time" without being sarcastic. This just annoys me very much and it happens pretty much every thread.

Oh and for your info, I'm a fan of Fantasy and BeSt, not Bisu. SKT T1 != Bisu.

Firefist had a Gatorade bandwagon going before his cheese on Ruby put people off. So you're right, this thread is not the perfect example of what you're saying.

And this disproves what?

Nobody is supporting Firefist because of what he did to Ruby, not because people automatically brush off relatively unknown players which seems to be what you are saying.

If you picked another player to defend, like say, Frozean, then I would probably be agreeing with you.

It pisses me off that Stats did nothing spectacular to win. Not counting JangBi's fail with the shuttle towards the end, Stats did a worse job of preserving his reavers. JanbBi just played like an idiot, running goons single-file into arcs and such.

But it doesn't matter, no matter who won can't hope to touch Jaedong right now, doesn't change anything in the long run.

Stats defended Jangbi's push nicely with his observer placement. Sometimes its the little things that get you the win not always the razzle dazzle.

Yeah he is, in which case there's no way he doesn't face JD right? Stats is guaranteed 8th seed and JD is guaranteed 1st ... too bad for him. He honestly would have had a better chance against Flash (the likely #2 seed) haha.

But Firefist didn't do anything wrong against Ruby. Cheesing does not equal cheating, especially not on a terran favored map against a player who's better in the matchup than you are.

You're right. I don't know why but the only PvZ I keep remembering when I think of Stats is his game vs type-b.

Jangbi isn't exactly known for his harrass ability, no way he would've come back after getting in an early deficit like that.

Even Stats is a pretty straightforward player from what I've seen.

yeah but jangbi vs jaedong wouldnt be any better either. at least we still dont know clearly stat's ability to pvz, whereas jangbi, we all know his pvz ability (or lack thereof).

I don't get why people like Ruby. Obviously Ruby vs Jaedong would have been a better match, but in general there's not much to like about Ruby. He's decent, he's in ACE, so what? He's not a "real" representative of ACE, he's more like an underachieving gamer who never worked hard enough to fulfill his potential in MBC so he just ducked out and went to ACE.

If anything, he steals a lineup appearance from someone I actually want to see (Xellos/Casy/Cloud anyone? Hell I'd rather see Darkelf). Ruby was just a lazy gamer who had a couple decent moments, and now he's in ACE ... great. I could care less.

Jangbi is one of the more harass oriented PvP players. He was like the king of storm drops. During is runs, I remember where he rarely engaged the opponent's army until he had severely crippled their economy.

It likely wouldn't have been Jaedong vs Jangbi. It would have been Jaedong vs Bogus (if Bogus won) or Jaedong vs Guemchi (if Bogus lost and Guemchi won). If neither Bogus nor Guemchi won ... I honestly don't know. It might have been Best. I think if Guemchi/Bogus/Best all managed to lose, it actually might have been Jaedong vs Jangbi haha.

Interestingly enough, if Flash wins, Best wins, and Bogus loses, Flash's "reward" for being the #2 seed is to play Best in the RO8. Yikes.

Hmm I might have to root for Bogus here....

EDIT: Oops, forgot about Guemchi. Both Bogus AND Guemchi need to lose while Best wins for this to happen. It's definitely possible though.
