Finishing in the top 3 of WCG Korea is much more impressive than getting to the finals at WCG itself.

And to get into 3 consecutive WCG finals, Stork had to finish in top 3 of WCG Korea 3 consecutive times? Easy?

...... yeah but that's nothing new is it???
should we all be like "wooo he qualified for WCG" in this thread, even though it happened a while ago?

But that's what I'm saying - it is new. Who has EVER made it into 3 consecutive WCG finals from Korea? Stork is the greatest WCG Starcraft player of all time (perhaps arguably only second to Boxer if he gets another silver tomorrow).

Not unless they take off the great firewall between now and the event.

In other words, no.

Now rooting for Jaedong against Bisu, so we can see some more PvZs.

if guys like Fisheye, Mondi, Blackman, Testie, Elky, Draco were in their youth and playing BW as much as the new foreigners at this time. They would be far far far better than what we are seeing from these foreigners at WCG. Back in the day the Foreigners were 1 maybe 2 steps behind the koreans. Today, the new crew of foreigners do not even belong to be in the same game as the koreans. Koll our last foreigner left looks like a D- iccup player vs Stork right now. That is what my point is, the old school players had more NATURAL skill bye all ~~~

Hmmm i recall boxer making blackman look like a complete newbie on lost temple at WCG.

Ok now this is where you dismiss this point and make another one.

Your an idiot, this is to the guy who thinks foreigners now are worse. Do you not realize how much the koreans play???? Since then there practice got ramped up to 10 hours at the least. Like your fucking kidding right? Do you have any idea, the royal raping new school koreans do to the old school crew? And natural talent is bs coming from a kid who has never spoken to a single good player in your life. Because they practiced the same amount as these new guys, mondragon spent ridiculous amounts of time perfecting his style. AND A HUGE FYI, new school kids just took games from pros, they do all the all the time, rets taken a game off of kal, white ra and g-5 beat boxer (which your old school kids could not do). Your lack of understanding of the scene serves as nothing but a laughing point for the rest of us.

I hope you realize that Korean Pro teams have had the same training since about 2001. The skill gap has only increased because our new foreigners are not as good as the old ones.

you just proved you know nothing

Of course it's impressive, but to say it qualifies him for 'best progamer ever' is crazy. Do yourself a favor and take a peek at NaDa's accomplishments to start.

Yes, I didn't mean "best progamer ever". More accurately: most successfuly WCG Starcraft player ever.

Correct, which means I have been around long enough to know skill. We foreigners are lacking in it big time oO

maybe koreans improved faster than foreigners because sc is huge in korea and thats why the gap difference is huge?

Bisu vs JD hype gogogo!!!!
I personally hope Bisu wins it so that Stork's curse will go in effect and Stork will win gold.

FYI: Stork's Curse: Whoever beats Stork in WCG Korea will be beaten by Stork in the actual WCG.

Sigh, I meant to hype Bisu vs JD but I came back to Stork.

Seriously guys, Stork is undisputedly the greatest WCG Starcraft player of all time. I guess you can argue that Boxer is still ahead, considering he has 2 gold medals. But Stork could have 2 golds and 1 silver if he wins the final tomorrow.

Boxer won two consecutive WCG GF. Stork can't achieve the same

The old ones only seemed much better because the koreans were no where near as dominant then.. it's not about new foreigners just being worse and copying everything. Let's see all the old top foreigners come back, use smart, strategic play, and dominate? Could they?
