They used Forgg vs Sparkyz in that really good PL series that wasn't too long ago. I don't think KT has had very many ace matches since then actually. Plus, people have been trying out all sorts of new players for things like this.... cough Modesty.

Yeah, that was the one. It was a while back but teams are experimenting with all of their lineups right now, while in r5 they were scrabbling for every win.

Anyway, even though i'm a huge stats fa (@Hinanawi, KT is definitely grooming stats to replace forgg, and i think the reason why he hasn't replaced him yet is a) forgg still has seniority and b) Stats is a rookie and they don't want to throw too much at him early. Wait for round 3 or 4 to see stats as a full time starter, unless forgg just epically fails, in which case it could be sooner.)

I've seen 4 gate goon fended off with good probe micro, but that was on Colosseum, which gives the defender a high ground advantage. Other than that, I think 4 Gate Goon is a hard counter to an expo build.

To me, it looked like HyuN did not know what he was doing at all. I'm sure he practiced for this match, but it didn't show at all, he looked lost the whole game. I don't think he had any information of what was happening in Flash's base for the entire game.

Not trying to be too much of a downer here but Flash does play like a monster approximately 6 times a year. I'm a little nervous about him playing Mind in OSL qualifiers on brand new maps - yes I know Flash owns TvT and has always had Mind's number, but Mind is one helluva smart player and new maps will only help him with his funky builds (remember Hiya beating Flash on Medusa with the mineral glitch? He said he got the build from Mind).
Flash is playing like a monster (arguably playing better than he ever has since Bacchus), question is just can he keep it up?

This has probably been said a thousand times already, but KT is defintely the strongest team on paper. SKT doesn't have good zergs, Oz is a one man team, CJ lacks an S class player, KHAN is slumping pretty badly, etc. It seems KT have so much untapped or semi-tapped potential. Violet looked very promising last season and Stats is looking very promising as well. If ForGG plays like he did during the Arena MSL and Lux before his post-Lost Saga MSL slump, KT will be unstoppable this season.

Usually there's no more than 2 's-class' players per race, and for zerg that'd be Jaedong and Calm, given Effort's huge fizzle out at the end of last season. But he's undoubtedly got the capability to.

I completely agree. Effort is very good but he can't be compared to Bisu, Flash, Jaedong.
These days whenever player has a hot streak a large proportion of people on TL start screaming 'S-class'. It takes more than one hot streak to become an S-class player. That's why I wouldn't count Calm. The guy has to prove that he is consistent enough to compete with any of the mentioned 3. So far he won a title and we have to see if he will keep the level of his play where it was during last MSL.
Flash/Jaedong/Bisu has been playing at the top level for months not just weeks...
