I don't think anyone expected it to be amazing given that both players were on vacation and it's just a showmatch, but I was hopin it'd be a good game between them. I guess we can hope for OSL this season.
It's only disappointing when JD loses.
Yes, clearly. Thank you for responding to my post in such a thoughtful and insightful manner.
Edit: And yeah, I guess from a Bisu fan's perspective the match was good if he really was on top of his game. But I want to see a long close game, not a match lost because of failing to hold a ramp or a cancelled spire or just a one-sided rape in general.
It wasnt like Jaedong played bad that game, there was no major mistake from his side, it was just that everything Bisu tried worked for him. He kept his scouting probe alive for like 6 minutes ...
I'm happy Savior means serious business but its all just showmatches anyways, I'm sad that JD didn't deliver his A game and Bisu did. You'd usualy expect a high caliber game but that was just one sided .
almost all of the matches went wrong, Stork winning was the only good thing. Well hopefully the games are fun to watch, seems like it atleast, gonna go check the VODs now!
It's hilarious that Leta was too excited to sit down.
Games 1-2 were most fun, definitely, and I enjoyed Stork vs Fantasy (because I love Stork). If only they'd throw in some more team / weird format matches in Proleague...
Flash vs Savior was somewhat cute but mostly painful. Boxer vs Yellow was OK, with some great moments, but Yellow's poor play ruined it a bit. The last game was one-sided, like most games between Jaedong and Bisu (though you never know in advance which side it will be).

Honestly? Bisu v Jaedong was a good game. Not a long game, but it's not like Jaedong made a major mistake (at least not of "It's called hold position bro" level). Bisu just played well. Could Jaedong have made some different decisions and won? Yes. But who cares? It's a showmatch, and as a showmatch, it delivered just fine. I'm pretty sure plenty of people didn't want a 1 hour long macrofest game (especially since they wanted to go to bed).

This.
Bisu's raw match statistics are better than Jaedong's in 2009. They've been that way for a while. The difference is that Jaedong wins matches that matter, particularly Bo5s, while Bisu doesn't. Losing a Bo1 showmatch doesn't contradict anything anyone has reasonably said about Jaedong.

Back in form?
Losing a bunch of random pre-season matches doesn't count as being out of form.

lol what? i don't see anybody thinking that
anyway i went to sleep after the mystery match was announced, at which point the thread was 35 pages. games must've been pretty average if we only got 20 pages after that :\

jaedong looked serene, like a he's at peace and not his usual killer self
dude he just came back from BC, canada on this long vacation with his close "friend"
you calling him gay, blue "arrow"?
well i started having my suspicions after reading this news story on TL, which imo was hinting at some kind of deeper relationship between him and lomo.
(it's hidden in the 2nd spoiler of the OP) (idk why they put it behind so many spoilers) (also because it's hidden behind so many spoilers my suspicions have definately increased)
