i want to say something that i didn't in OP.
the reson i am making this thread is to gain a ton of info like i did in above post. and once i am happy with and get enough information ill make one GIGANTIC guide for each race explaining build orders and executions that are so in depth you'll start to breath starcraft, if you haven't already.

or.... you could give your advice and then some other p's can give thier own opinions. then we'll have extra opinions to make things more accurate. even if you think your wrong you may be right.

edit: im only doing this to obtain notes about each race so i can make a guide. if your already doing it is there any way i could help though?
idk what your guide will contain but i was aiming for accomplishing the following:
  • Make a comprehensive collection of build orders as in depth as possible and explaining how to use them and what advantages they give
  • Give a general understanding of each race and an explanation of tricks and micro (such as the correct muta micro method)
  • give a little more understanding about game concepts that some ppl lack, such as true understanding of timing, how threat helps you skimp on defence, etc.
  • and among other things that ppl may want to know
  • all of this will be in 1 large guide, dividing and organized by race and matchup, and so ppl have a 1 spot place to go to get thier questions answered. and if they can't find the answer they ask and ill add it to the guide.

but basically all im doing here is getting notes for my Future Guide
or i could just help with what you already have started?

kennigit asked me to help. can i still use this to obtain information from fellow TL users?

I Generally push out with my first 6-7 rines and first medic to force the zerg into making more sunks. If he has anything over 1 sunk don't push in, or if you're feeling ballsy try to run past (map dependant). Make sure to make 1-2 bats afterwards incase he tries a ling run by.

You can take you're third whenever you're feeling comfortable. When you push out with your first Vessel is a good time, it provides a distraction so he doesn't kill your expo as its going up.

Vessels, Vessels, Vessels, if I see a greater spire going up I generally add 1-2 starports to the one I already have. In general, irradiate owns guards. Rines are also half-way decent against them, but make sure that the guards are reachable before you stim in. Or you could try to push into his base, or go expo raiding. Guards means he doesn't have many lurks, and isn't to defilers yet, unless it's extremely late guards in that case you should have enough vessels.

1:4 Is good, 1:3 doesn't hurt though.

FD:
-9 depot
-12 rax/refinery
-16 fact/depot
machine shop after fact done
mines in shop along with tank producing in the fact
-22 depot
Then constant vults
After that it depends if you want to FE, or add a 2nd fact and continue pressure, I recommend FE and add an ebay soon.
You should have produced anywhere from 4-6 rines depending on if he pressures with zea's and how good you're vult/tank micro is.
Also you should wall off like 95% of the time, this stops virtually all pressure, and gives him less scouting info.

1) when u get to 8 drone, i'm confused. the step b4 is 9 overlord. so why would the next step be 8 drone? there is no drone lost when making overlord.

2) also, it should probably be explicitly stated about when you get your first 100 gas to click the upgrade. as well as the drone transfer to extractor (yes, obviously you're going to send 3 drones as soon as it finishes, but for the sake of completeness and unquestionable absoluticity, it might be a good idea to list it in the BO.)

i like what ur doing. there should be an organized thread for learning the basic builds without having to pore thru independent threads and filter out thru noob questions and opinionated comments. good luck. i'm too lazy to do this. maybe u can do an ultimate guide for the leagues, where u outline rules, format etc. there are some good ones, but still, it can always be organized in one thread, even if its simply a link to that exact thread. cheers! =)

While making lings, pull drones off gas one by one at 88 gas, get ling speed

At least from what I have seem of Mondragon replays. He modifies it usually after this and also in the number of lings he makes. Do some runbys, it's fun.

so when ppl ask for an ultimate guide to leagues, u guys say, stop ur crying, it's not that hard to figure out. and when someone goes ahead and tries to consolidate and organize something else, u tell them to stop. for as long as TL has been around, why don't we have either as of it's whatever-th birthday?
