this build isn't too much different from making X number of zealots early and attacking across. sure, you're forcing some larva to go into lings or sunkens early, but counter damage from mutas generally achieves more. there really isn't a counter to well controlled mutas besides corsairs and DA; no reason not to make 12+ if protoss lacks either | ||

@Baal no it was not the classic 5 gate goon. It was an earlier timing iirc. It was good for oya in the games where the pressure bought enough time to macro, get gates and 3 cans per min line iirc. | ||

1) it's unpopular and this leads to 2) it provokes a response, which can be (and was) suboptimal. So it's a build that one mixes up in their plan for a series to keep the opposition honest. Moreover, it's a build that suits oya's in-your-face approach as he makes a very funny push at a very funny timing to force Zerg into reacting with the units they have at hand, I mean, it's hard to scout when you have five zealots and a goon in your base. Correct me if I'm wrong, please. | ||
