I will say that there probably are not any problems regarding this game that i cannot find a solution for you. So ask me anything relating to starcraft strategy, unit compositions or what to do in some situation and i probably have a solution for you. So post here or use private message. Mind telling what specific areas of knowledge you possess of StarCraft that you have a feeling others on TL dont? Its difficult to ask a question when there is this thread https://tl.net/forum/bw-strategy/220903-simple-questions-simple-answers that could answer it in similar fashion. Having two QnA threads (confusing), this would have to be very specific on what areas of StarCraft to address. Is it pure numbers? Insight into game files? | ||

If that is so, you can of course help me on this, giving alternative solutions on any possible problems that people might post in here but if things get too hectic, i will post my solution on this thread as well as on private message to the person who asked help on their problem. I would rather want to keep this thread on topic, but i will give you a solution to a problem in your post. You go to other persons thread saying that the person sounds narcissist and then tell that you are better. -- More likely nobody will ask anything. I meant if there are going to be lots of unrelated posts. Maybe this is more like i thrive to give a simple answer for complicated questions. | ||

Also, still for P, what would be the things to look for when you scout? What timings/buildings are you looking for, is there something that triggers you to attack for example etc (well mostly pvt pvz for this obviously) Thanks Edit: 2v2 (not iron curtain) zp vs zt/zz/tp builds/tips? | ||

For rest i do not want to have an answer. - The scouting and attacking is obvious. Always attack as a protoss, if you notice something you cannot fare pull back but never hold your units in your main more than you have to. If the opponent does not rush and you do not have to defend do it so yourself. That one build is probably race dependent, pretty standard stuff. Against zerg corsairs, later upgrade disruption web and move to reaver storm. Against terran dragoons with range at first, later move to hallucination (do not research storm) templars / stasis and lots of gateway units. If for some reason the opponent goes bio do not still research storm, but produce reavers instead as you already need an observer. If the game drags on, then research storm and against bio you need no hallucination so no templars until then. The right way to use hallucination + stasis is first to do hallucinations of archons and / or zealots and then use stasis to divide the army when attacking with hallucinations and only then with main army. The halucinations are sent with two to three waves within short time period, then the main army is sent in one wave. Use all your energy, then morph to archons and produce more. This is an efficient way to break siege positions against terran mech play. Why people do not use this strategy i do not know, but this is something like 20 years old style and is maybe forgotten. This style was used in Starcraft FIN-1 before launch of Brood War. Same goes for disruption web too, used in a right way is almost as dominant as swarm and were common in Starcraft FIN-1 after launch of Brood War. It is also possible these strategies were never used outside Starcraft FIN-1. In my opinion, both of these strategies are usable even now and are the most efficient, so do these every time. If you want, you can mix some carriers against terran but is not necessary. To win terran (mech) you only need 4 units, Zealot (speed), Dargoon (range), Templar (hallucination + archon), Arbiter (stasis). Even observer is not necessary but will be good. Terran will most likely also use 4 units, Vulture (Mines + Speed), Tank (Siege Mode), Goliath (Range) and Science Vessel (EMP). Watch out for Science Vessel the most as it can really ruin you, prioritize targeting them over anything else. Efficient way to use templars is wait for 200 energy, do 4 hallucinations and go to archon. Two templars (100/300) produces 8 hallucinated archons and 1 archon. When sending hallucinations always mix in with zealots as archons do not trigger or drag mines. Send all archons in the first wave. Use split and surrounding if possible. Against other protoss dragoon + reaver. Remember observer or cannon (Dark Templar). There is not much going on here except you can lose to DT or Zealot rush and the one who succeeds with Reaver usually wins. Same goes for pvz, not much to say except remember web as you have corsairs already. Web is especially good against lurkers and static defence but can even be spammed on top of hydras in similar way than storm but against hydras always prioritize storm. If you want to practice something specific practice reaver + shuttle and dragoon micro (pulling the injured ones back and focus fire). Still, i will think about this more. If i have some vision of one build against all races i will post it here as this is a good and interesting question. This will probably resolve around gateway units and reavers. I will also think about 2v2 builds. For this, i have limited experience. | ||

I do not play. I used to and like observing more. Nowdays only observe and back in the days i played Use Map Settings more. I am not that good player myself. I was "good" before replays and won mostly with strategic approach but after replays people got better at macro and the micro oriented players started to reign. You really cannot do anything in this game against players who are better at mechanics, they can win doing only one unit and you still have no change. Strategy matters the most when both players have similar skill. I could give you prefect strategy but if you cannot execute it correctly or are bad with mechanics it wont help. The approach i have given you is the most efficient regardless do you appreciate it or not. I was also quite correct for this thread having a lot of unrelated posts. You are flaming this on purpose from anyone else who might want to accoplish something through this. This is probably what people call trolling, trying to drag others to mud with them. The MMR message was also foreseen, it is a must that when people talk about strategy someone must say that. The follow up is that you challenge and if you beat the other or use violence you can prove your point. It is that primitive, but it always happens. Brood War i am not use of, but at least in Starcraft 2 no matter what the race is, the race is overpowered. It always changes according to the race that wins. | ||

From my view mass reaver is the strongest strategy in every match up because reavers have absurdly strong attack, yet it is not possible to control or play with more than 4 reavers as you cannot micro / control them correctly. Same is with some of your advices, theorycrafting is one thing, real games is another thing. Also you oversimplify concepts that are deeply reasearched and tested making the game look like it's about making unit A that wins unit B..  (while in reality any unit can beat any unit depending on amount, position and specific moment in the game..) | ||

There might be some replays but not available at the moment. They really do work and really are most efficient, and totally realistic. You do not have enough experience on this matter to say those things. Still, the dragging to mud continues. Nothing is gained from this but me dragging myself to mud when continuing to discuss with those kind of things. The strategies are given, behold and try to use them or not. Other questions are accepted and i will come back to some topics in the first question later if i can feel that i come up with an answer that amounts to anything. I will only give answers i am sure of and those things i wrote before i am sure because of my own gaming experience and successful use of those strategies. The success in real games is the reason i wrote those things. If there will be 2v2 staregies, they will be hypothetical. I do not have experience that allows me to say anything on that subject. The same goes for a possibility of "the one build" in brood war, which i think might be more of the case in starcraft 2. I am seriously starting to dislike most of the people in this forum. The motivation to help you is diminishing. It is quite possible that some of the strategies that indeed seem hidden to the public will not be given because of how you people act. Lots of people with Bad Manners. You say glhf in your game and come here acting like shit and drag others down. Then you say gg and go ruin things for everyone. So "Good Luck and Have Fun" "Good Game" and then go give shit to people. I will ask for moderators a permission to delete posts in this thread. We need some kind of shit filter here. Are people really feeling that bad ? Why is people doing this in internet, do you go to the public in so called "real life" and give shit to random people you see on the street ? Probably not. Or maybe you are being given shit in the real life and you feel good coming here to give me shit. Stop it. I mean it. So you succeeded on your shit. Your shit storm strategy was successful, it could only be more successful that i delete those posts. So go ahead searching finnish underground strategies from time before replays. Good luck with that. Ask me Terran strategies, there wont be any. Ask me ZERG strategies there are not any. Actually im done with this forum, this will be my last post here as you people affect negatively on my psyche and that is more important than writing in here in a motivation to help other people. People here are so bad mannered and give too much shit. So no more posts. I will now change my password so that i do not myself anymore have it so everything i have wrote will stay as it is and there will never be more letters than this. | ||
