Hi

the title explains itself

if you could give me some info on how to beat Dt/cor

I would appreciate any help.

3 hatch hydra with OL speed ? if he goes hardcore sair DT he won't have enough army / HT to stop a good timed 3hatch hydras

strangely the very few ZvP i managed to win were when P did this strat. When P goes standard 2gate harass into zeal temps goon i get rolled over ^_^;

edit : i assumed you meant dt / cor early game, if it's late game and he's harassing your expos with dt just go sunken spore as strafe said

i REALLY hate those p's harrassing with ~4-5 sairs and a few dts evrywhere while building up a decent force.
but yeah hyds should own. or later hive z air > p air so if ur oppponent is going for straight sair/dt or sair/rvr go 4 a nice air army and pwn his ass. hts are ur only problem then so micro

or go 4 sum safe expands and sunken/spore up and macro like shit and overwhelm his gay units --" beating gay strats with gay style isnt gay

Yes late game with like 12 cors and a shitload of dts. I cant attack cuz my lords get raped too fast

I end up with no detection -_-;;

IF I turtle up with sunken/ spore he will just take the whole map and you know Protoss macros faster than Zerg. if skill level is the same

u get 1 spore and just get units .... i misread and thought uw ere the protoss and slow move ur ols to 2nd nat and expo ... u can get overlrodspeed later

What I have seen, 3 hatch hydra is good counter. But it's hard to scout this strat, if he won't make 2 stargate soon and they'll be scouted. And after that he can go cors/reaver too. w/e

all the good toss gamers dont play this strategy in the beginning. The problem actually is, that if u are the zerg, and you went lurker/ling or muts or ultralisks or whatever, you wont be able to have a good force vs 7-12 corsairs with 1:0 upgrade..

Every good toss uses this strategy after 20-40 minutes in the game.. This strategy is good, cause it surprises many zergs who didnt build many hyds but much lurkers and ultras.. All you can do is to build a spore and sunken at each expo immidiately and start producing hyds only until you solve the ''problem''.

Dont build corsairs or mutalisks.. And keep an eye on your main ( dont let u kill your important buildings by dt drop with cors ) and dont forget spores at expo..

That you say all good toss do that and do that. I have seen different things, like rA going straight to this and won someone(nice game). And every good toss clearly won't use this after 15-20 mins. Usually it's even too soon to that.

I've been starting to see the profits of going with an early evo chamber. Zerg need upgrades badly in zvp matchup, and it helps against any cheese toss players who thing their sairs will work, because they will usually send them out when they have two. The best thing you can do is have a creeps and a ling or two outside of his base so when he moves out you can morph them into sunks, or if your being hit by sairs you can make 1-2 into spores.

You're losing all your ovies late-game to his dozen sairs? Do you have speed? Are they mostly spread out around the map or mostly cluttered(are most of them with your forces)? What strat have you been using?

Making a spore and a couple sunkens at each expo isn't turtling, you really need it. You can't really have your army protecting every base from harassment attacks. :/

It's late-game you said so you can easily afford those extra structures at each base, then macro normally and put pressure on him.

A couple queens are really strong against a large force of sairs, 1 or 2 with your force and some hydras should keep you from having to worry too much about losing all your detectors with your troops so you should be free to attack.

I don't know zerg though so meh.

I was at 12 he was at 6 I went normal Lurker/ling build a spore cuz I saw corsair coming.
So After that I went expanded to my mieral only then to 3 o clock main I didnt build any sunken/colony on the 3 o clock expo, -_- but only at the mineral only one...

After some attacks and macro, I got surprised by 12 corsairs and a SHITLOAD of DTs
my Lords just die so fast cuz of the 1 upgrade air units. my ultras got raped too.
I tried going hydras but it was too late for it all my expos were gone, so I typed out "gg"

that game sucked ass

How many DT is a "shitload"? Anyway, if u scout this strat he means to chase/kill ur OL so that the DT can rape your exps. You need at least 1-2 spores to counter the loss of detection. With that help, why can't u match this strat with mass +attack hydra with some anti-air thrown in? Also, a queen with ensnare could really shine here.

It sounds like u are being surprised with this strat and therefore cannot properly prepare for it. His strat is gas-heavy, which makes me think u are not attacking his exps enough.

I haven't read all of this thread, BUT, ensnare and plague = very, VERY, VERY annoying when you sair DT Just a couple of things to keep in mind ~_~ Of course, he can readily make DAs, but ensnare+plaguing a bunch of dts/sairs even just once is well worth it
