Sometimes when I play 2v2 on Iccup and my ally gets rushed and leaves making it a 1v2 game and I make a comeback and end up winning (after like 20 minutes), it awards me with no points saying some error with ally function. Why does this happen?

You and your partner didn't do /ally <user> and /yes

You can still report it and get the win.

How exactly does the space bar work? It centers to your main base, but only sometimes? Feels like i should utilize this button more ...

space bar is for getting the screen to center on the most recent event.
I believe any event that pings (making green box on the minimap) does it.
For example, if nexus makes a probe and you press space bar, the screen centers nexus.
if weapon upgrade finishes and you press space, same thing.
If you are getting drones killed and can hear the under attack message, pressing space bar centers it I believe.
But it gets over written by other events (such as unit creation from gateways) way too quickly so it becomes unreliable as game progresses.
But if you have great attention and quick response it could be useful.

More so, space bar event is the same one that appears on your unit portrait screen.
So I had zealot selected so portrait window has my zealot.
A probe is created and portrait windows shows some guy representing nexus.
If I press space bar, my screen will center nexus.

what is the benefit of having corsair stacked with trapped probe?
Do I have to do it?
It seems that corsair spreads itself out eventually and have to be consistently right clicked to stacked again.
I can stack corsairs to some extent without having probe selected.

helps to prevent scourge cloning

but i dont think you have to do it. you usually just run away when you see scourges. its not as important as stacking wraiths and mutas

stacking gives you better control over your sairs. its basically like why you stack mutalisks so that you can deal damage more effectively and not having to wait for the other sairs that have spread out to slowly move in to attack.

It allows you to always get points for your win/loss in 2v2 even if a player is eliminated. Say you die, but your ally 1v2s and wins. If you use the /ally command beforehand, you will receive the points for the win even though you were eliminated.

Quick question: Basically lately I`m having a lot of problems with my opponents cannon rushing my 2nd expo (3rd hatch) in ZvP. At the time that happens I have only 2 lings and I always fail to scout since I use them to chase a scouting probe. Any advice on how to stop it?

I play protoss, and that cannon rush can be easily countered by making more zerglings.
You should make at least 6 zerglings whenever, be it 9drone or later.
I personally have trouble dealing with zerg who goes 9 drone or overpool and have high apm.
I don't have apm enough to consistently save my probe and build key buildings in right time for timed rush. However, if zerg player only make 2 zerglings, I can save my probe easily.
Having some zerglings early helps as you can cut scout probe and toss have to prepare for all the possibilities zerg can do.
Even if toss user has gosu probe micro, upon seeing 6 zerglings, I don't think he will dare cannon rushing. So make that 6 zerglings and make toss user spend more effort on that probe as well as preparing for any kind of early cheese from toss.

it is not advisable to be staying on 2 lings because you create opportunities for zealot harassment. you will need at least 6 before your 5th hatch and additional ones after. chase the probe with 1 ling and use the other 5 for scouting purposes.

5th hatch? Of course I have more lings by that time,I was talking about cannons at my second expo (at like 13 supply).

why does nobody ever repair siege tanks, is it they repair so slowly that an scv mining to make more tanks is more economic than fixing up your nearly dead tanks?

You're usually too busy doing different things. That said, you have a all red tank a good player will repair it. I personally do it often, shift right click on tanks and scv will repair them all, same with wraiths. I know topstar does it too.

two things: First the semantics of repairing is difficult, considering how slow repair is, how clunky scvs are, how there is no auto repair, ect. And second is that in general, you don't hope that the tanks will take a bunch of damage. If your tanks are taking enough to make repair viable, it probably means that the zealots got to the tank line, and if the zealots got to the tank line, you probably lost the battle anyway, and having 60 extra health on a bunch of your tanks won't change that. In tvt if a tank is being attacked it generally dies because siege tanks and wraiths tend to not let tanks get away.

Professional players repair there tanks all the time. The Observers just don't always show it in VODs. Watch the streams of IN_Dove, Hiya, etc...and watch some Terrans on bnet attack to see it more often.

hey guys i was wondering why my ping is so high on bnet. It also doesn't really matter what server I am on (iccup or fish), the ping is the exact same and they are around the 400-600 area. ive never had this problem before but now I can actually see lots of input lag (like when I tell my lurkers to burrow) and it has cost me games. is this something I just have to live with?

What ping do you guys get?
