You use pinky on one? Then what do you use for a o.o? I have small hands so I use 5a4a3a2a and I use ring+index and then middle+index for 2a, prob do the same for 1a but I don't put combat units in group 1 so I just right click.

Anyone know which vod shows a clip of flash when he was a baby? I think it was during an OSL final, but can't remember which one.

I use my pinky for a, and I use:

ring finger for 2
middle finger for 3,
index finger for 4, 5, 6, etc.

I'm currently using my pinky for 1 as well, but I'm not sure if this is optimal. It seems like keeping my pinky on a would have fastest results, but using any other finger for 1 contorts my hand awkwardly.

If it works for you then keep it, hotkeys are all about comfort. Unless you're doing something extremely strange comfort will go together with effective use in game. Personally I use pinky+thumb as balance so my hand doesn't move as much and my fingers are doing the motion. I have fps hands so I'm centered around wasd but it works for me at least with terran.

Pinky on shift, easily bounce to ctrl
Ring finger I pretty much use exclusively for a
Middle I use for a lot of things, basically what my index doesn't cover
Index around f, bounce to b and v 6543 f keys, good muscle memory with it too
Thumb space bar m b balance

That's how I play at least. It's very comfortable for me and and I play well in games with it, so if that works for you keep doing it, or find a comfortable alternative if you want. gl hf

Perhaps this isn't a simple question but why is it on maps like Blue Storm or Bloody Ridge that you almost always see terrans going with academy armory builds as opposed to ebay + turret builds.
Why would I play sctoo when I can play BW?

reavers are pretty strong on both maps and are much easier to deal with if you open aca/armory as opposed to ebay/turret
it also lets you scout and deal with early carriers or anything else
also on both maps it's very easy to take a 3rd, so even though you pass up on any kind of 2 base timing push because of the early tech you can just take your 3rd instead

I lose a lot when Im offracing as Terran when I do the fantasy build opening in TvZ.

how should I alter my Fantasy build if my opponent goes for 2 hatch muta? the one from liquipedia is strictly against 3 hatch builds i suppose. My vulture harass keeps getting raped by scourges from 2 hatch muta

and I also lose to hydra allins sometimes with a few zerglings being sent one by one to bait mines in my natural. Planting mines near his entrace seems more of a waste since slow ovies are even nearer. should I spent my minerals + gas on more goliaths to fend off hydras or siege mode / tanks?

You have to scout right away if he's going 2 hatch. When you scout it add scvs back on gas and go 2 fact+speed. If he's going den get mines and bunker at nat he might try a stupid hydra allin and start tank+siege. If muta then get range and ebay. after you get a decent number of gols you can start your expo and still be ahead.

When doing 12 nexus against terran, how to deal with early scv+bunker rush? The way I do is that after 12 nexus, I go gate and gas. As soon as gate finishes, I put down the core and another gateway. I cut probe production in between to have core asap. I also skip zealot as it seems useless when facing scv+marine+bunker.

Problem is, even I successfully kill the first scv building the bunker in front my nexus, more scv+marines come in to finish the bunker. At this time, I only have probes as attacking units and my first dragoon comes out but, marine are already inside the bunker. Even if I do range upgrade as soon as core finishes, my natural nexus gets destroyed by marines+few vultures.

Once range finishes, I can drive marines away and I put down my nexus again immediately. But as the game goes on, I get behind and lose 100%, be it by 5 fac timing to punish my fast 3rd or dropship+mine harass me until death due to delayed obs (don’t have clue what terran is doing). Is my way of doing 12 nexus plain stupid?

Day[9] did a great analysis of stork vs forgg from way back when where stork defends this perfectly. You shouldn't skip the zealot. Also, getting a second gate early (before core) means you'll end up with an extra zealot to prevent the bunker from getting up at all. Lastly, even if they do kill the nexus, pulling a lot of scvs and making the bunker often leaves the game even anyway.

When chasing a probe in your base as zerg, I know that you are supposed to have one following it and the rest trying to surround. But when your zerglings are ready to actually damage the probe what is the best way to give the zergling the best the chance to make contact with the probe? Attack move? right click on probe? stop? patrol?

How can i start a ladder game? I click multiplayer -> battle.net EU -> and then i only find custom games.

When i tab out from playing the game gets all coloured and pixelated. And when i quit the game, my computer sometimes just black screens and i can't even do ctrl + alt + del. Any tips?

ive always just attack clicked, but im curious in this too, didnt think about it untill now, crabbrox.

Yeah I also want to know this. And also when doing overpool on python,should I use just 2 zerglings to chase the probe and send other 4 to put pressure and force 2 cannons or just chase the probe with all 6?

Does anybody remember the professional game a long time ago where the Protoss mind controlled a Terran SCV and made Siege Tanks accompanied by his max Protoss army?

4 Zerglings won't force a second Cannon if your opponent can control their Probe at their wall. The fact that its impossible to wall effectively on Python in the early game may change that, but its only applicable on Python if that's the case.

most people (non-koreans) play on iccup.

http://www.iccup.com/starcraft/sc_start.html you can probably skip step 1 if you've already got sc installed.

as for the colours I just put up with it, I think it's just something to do with later versions of windows. but i dont know about the black screening thing
