we're you around when dyo was? he was pretty much THE movie maker. i would only download movies made by him, and even though he hasn't come back yet, i still don't download movies from other movie makers. i loved him to bits.

StarCraft Memories was definitely better.
Effects are nice, but it's about choice and order. MooN's video was very good, and it's one of the few recent videos I've actually enjoyed, but it did have hiccups. Sometimes it was hard to tell who was who (Savior vs Yellow, would it have been so hard to colour the name the colour of the player's units?) and also some very bland moves that should have been cut made it in the video.

ever heard of youtube? i sometimes take a glimpse of the videos made these days on youtube, but the only videos i downloaded and kept were dyo's.
that was fucking wicked man. i was hoping for it to be longer because i enjoyed it a lot. i like how the ending you chose to use videos of progamers' ceremony.
I just watched it and this is really, really good. Best highlights video I've seen. I was wondering where you got some of your games though, like Savior vs Mind or Jaedong vs Flash, both on Destination, to name a few.
The intro and the ending were great. I wish there were more labels though to see who's who. I had to search some of the korean names of the players because I didn't remember. And there seemed to be some missing stuff like recently savior vs tt on neo requiem (?) and bisu vs yellow on heartbreak. Those were truly epic moments with the crowd going absolutely wild.
There was some stuff I hadn't seen before, but a lot of it was repeats from pimpest plays or well-known games. I kind of wish some of the clips had been longer and others shorter or not included. Still, entertaining 20 minutes.
Really nice video! Most of the material was really well picked, and the beauty of Starcraft is that you could easily make 5 other videos just like this but with different material and they'd be just as awesome. The outro really made this video memorable for me, who was the guy who could actually dance? Never seen that one before

I'm sure it was a misunderstanding or mistake of some sort, and it doesn't matter if it was Savior and Mind if the play was awesome. Name value only adds to that person's grandeur, not to the move or the movie.

Wouldn't them being amateur be evident from the things before the moment? Stuff like micro, response time, maybe even minimap distribution... However most of the highlights were not just things anyone can do - it was mostly execution from skilled players at worst, not C+ chumps.
although its not a compilation of PROGAMER footage, i still think that putting names of progamers for stuff they didnt actually do is not right. the scenes were cool, awesome, yes. but putting false info like that only confuses people (who follow the progaming scene).
maybe someone who saw the video tells his friend, "wow, did you that july vs oov game on destination?" response: "? that never happened" etc
i do remember july owning mm with mutas, but it was on a space tileset. and if they were reenacting the pimp plays, they should at least pick the right map
Well, that Savior game on Destination with the plagued battlecruisers wasn't any of the games played during PL, GOM, OSL, or MSL. Or any of the other games, so I don't know.
Great movie ! Intro a little too long though. If only we could have had a bigger screen battle in real game... That'd make starcraft so great ! :D I love it

I can't seem to download it. It stops at around 30% and just quickly says that the download has been complete. However, once I try to unzip it, the file becomes corrupt. Anyone else having this problem?
Really enjoyed it. I think if you feel like touching it up, you could add the names of each player (you did on about half of them). Some I've always wondering WHO the players were, like that time the 2 DT were running by the middle of the map (no shuttle) and destroyed around 90% of the Terran army.
I especially liked when you did use the names how you had the races unit next to them (like the hydralisk next to Yellow's name). Probably my fav SC video made so far though, well done!
Very nice vid! Overall good but my only complaint is your sound levels. When you insert the game sound effects it's too loud compared to the music. Other than that it's pure AWESOME.

there were several accusations that the author fabricated names and events in this video to befit himself and the video. I did not see any retaliation by the author, so they must be true. It's a shame. The video would be great if it were factually relevant, but it is not. For all you young dope heads on this forum who don't care, take it to heart; just because "it's cool" doesn't make it worth the praise, unless you're too stupid to care or notice.

That's a nice find, but I think if he outlined or made the words that color, it would be better. They were basically invisible/not differentiable to me.

Man that movie by moon brought back so many memories, I feel like I saw it before a long time ago, but it was so long ago I almost forgot, such a masterpiece of a SC movie, I think could easily turn any SC2 player to BW, such an amazing piece.
So many memories. Got quite a few SC highlight videos in my collection but i cant beleive i dont have this one.
This is a good video to be posted in SC2 forums just because many of the oldschool players like nada, july, boxer , rainbow are playing SC2 now. I guess they will apriciate it unless it turns into another SC2 vs BW flamefest
