Sorry to ask here but did you get Bisu's tattoo? I remember that was on his neck. I was so disappointed it's not recorded because SKT1 lost that day. No post-match picture-taking T_T
|
I thought I saw a tattoo on BeSt's arm but I wasn't sure until now.
As always, great stuff, thanks for sharing!
|
:O those aren't permanent or?
if they are... :OOO
Looks pimp tbh.

I didn't get any shots of it sadly. I would have asked for him, but I had a blinding headache so I could only handle one gamer tonight. It's faded a lot, but maybe they'll reapply it for next time. Doctor_K had one too round his wrist.

Best: amidoinitright? iNc:
By the way, great photos GG. It's nice to see progamers starting to exit the comfort zone of only getting their face painted at the local fair
I'm not going to lie, even though the actual tattoo isn't my type, the placement is pretty awesome. I like how it ends right on the index finger knuckle.

??? Bisu has a tattoo now too? I may be wrong about this, but isn't it somewhat frowned upon to have a tattoo in South Korea? I heard from someone that it is generally reserved for criminals or something to that accord.

totally fucking awesome nevergg! I always thought best looked... shy but he looks really hardcore with that tat (no idea he had it)
|
Lol thats so awsome gw kc

Where did that nerdy/innocent/baller Best we had last year?? he looks more like a hooligan right now than a SC pro with that huge tacky tatoos.... ughhh...... but thats just me...
great photos as always Nevergg, but the lighting effects looks kinda weird, again, maybe thats just me...
|
I like his looks. In fact I'd do him and pretend it's a girl

'The color shots were taken outside without using flash - a risk, but it was fun to do and the inside shots used flash. I'm not fond of doing it, but it was a nice opportunity to work with BeSt for the first time so I made the sacrifice.'
Read the notes; It explains why the lighting is different. Also he's still innocent and nerdy; he giggled almost the entire way through the shoot and was ultra polite to my Mum (got really flustered and shy when she talked to him in English.) Bless him <3

I'm trying to learn 'professional photography', so can you just explain a little what is the main difference with using/not using flash outside?
|
That tattoo is real? How embarrassing...

I don't think it's a real tattoo.. I think it's henna painting (how you spell that?)

I'm not technical at all, but I've found that using the auto setting outside has a very distinctive result/difference with my Nikon and it's Sigma 70-200mm lens - it smoothes out skin tone (whereas even in direct sunlight outside shots minus flash (using the auto setting for lighting conditions and P as the mode.) results in a grainier exposure on skin and noise which needs blurring using photoshop in both the focused section (usually the progamer themself.) and the background.
Also it allows me to provide much larger images due the the smoothed out nature of the raw images at that resolution - even using the in-built flash and not one mounted on the hot shoe (which I'll be using once I switch to Canon. Speedlight EX seems to be popular with the fomos/fifo journos.)
Auto setting carries the disadvantage of shutting off a lot of options - but it works for me personally for now. It's easier to post-edit them once I've resized the raws etc. I usually shoot in JPG fine with vivid+/ISO to maximum, flourescent for lighting setting inside. It's not ideal, but considering the set up I have right now it's the best method for my specific environment.
Outside photography using flash definitely gives more options and freedom. I'm looking forward to seeing what a new/more expensive camera can do though.
I recommend going to Nikonians/DPChallenge/DCinside etc to check around there for advice from way more experienced photographers. I'm really a trial and error kind of girl with no training I hope it helps though.

It's not real. He told my Mum that it's 'for T1.' A few of the other players have them. Tattoos are kind of frowned upon here by some people so I didn't doubt for a second that they were fake. They're also very light brown in colour and Bisu's is fading already.
|
Great photos! Thanks NeverGG
|
|
Ah its only a fake.
If it was real.............WTF!!!!!!
|
hehe yeah there is no way an Asian man living in Asia, would have a tattoo of that size. Unless he's dodgy
|
Yea that tatoo looks similar to what is done here with mehendi(but less artistic)
Nice work again. Hope you continue doing a marvelous job and your love for what you do continues to grow.
|
Looks like a cheap and quite a lame tattoo. But the pictures are well-taken, better than some official Fomos pictures. It's too bad that Best is so boring-looking, at least in my opinion.

Really? I've always thought he looked kinda.. Hm. Elegant? Distinguished? I'm not sure what word I'm looking for, but definitely not boring.
|
When I saw it during his last game, I was like ... the NBA is rubbing off of all sports.
|
Kind of cool to have the tattoos as some kind of bonding thing. In a way it looks protossy. It's a good thing it's a henna tattoo though. ^^;
|
looks pretty badass... screw all dem hatas
|
ugh worst tribal possible. Why on earth did he get that!?
Edit: thank god it's henna or something.
|
wow it looks impressive, neggy :X especially this + Show Spoiler + thank you very much <3

Have you seen Yakuza bodies? But you have a point. My Asian friends in the states have huge tattoos but the ones living in Asia barely have any

I think it looks kind of cool, actually.

Thanks for the photos

He told us it was for T1 - I'm not sure about the specific event, but he seemed pretty embarrased when Mum showed him her tattoos (which are real lol.) I think it's kind of endearing and they made for some fun photos.

By your post, it sounded real! That's good that it is fake. It's way too cheesey if it wasn't.

This is an amazing set. I love these photos...they really jump out at you.
One of my favorites and (in my opinion) best that you've posted.
