You are saying that the -4 DQ rule is stupid, but because it matters, we should count it? Shouldn't we actually do the opposite and NOT compound the mistake by counting the -4? You are basically saying that because this DQ happened, we should maximize the impact this random rule has on our fantasy standings? That makes no sense. Also, if "nobody can expect it in any way" then doesn't that mean we shouldn't count it because its almost impossible to predict? I don't understand why you want it counted.

If you have a rule that explicitly says DQ counts -4, then fucking go with it. The Kespa decision was stupid of course, but Kespa is what counts and you MUST account for their official ruling. You can't change the rules midgame just because some people are at a disadvantage. We all knew the rules beforehand. What if someone purposefully put Firebathero and BackHo on their anti team hoping for DQs for crotch dances / zizi yo?

We all knew the rules beforehand. What if someone purposefully put Firebathero and BackHo on their anti team hoping for DQs for crotch dances / zizi yo? I think it's a great decision. The initial -4 ruling is wholly improper, despite your ridiculous hypothetical. KeSPA's ruling vs Leta was clearly inappropriate, and I think we can agree it's frustrating to have a referee adhere to a strict, letter-bound interpretation of the rules that so clearly flies directly in the face of it's spirit, totally devoid of any room for context. Why should we advocate the opposite here, where admins would apply an inflexible, nonsensical rule simply because the letter of the rule states it, in clear violation of the spirit of fantasy proleague. Fantasy PL at TL is still taking shape, and as such the rules should be dynamic and organic, reflecting changes for the better through-out the season, not carved in stone. It's ludicrous to sabotage the chances of Leta owners over such an arbitrary, inconceivable event.

Now that the DQ penalty is removed from the original FPL R4 Rules, you have nothing to complain about. I have exercised my time-travel rule amendment powers (granted by the above rule) and thus the DQ penalty never existed. Happy?

First few things I'm going to do with my newfound abilities as granted by the above rules: - PuertorRican has never officially existed as a TeamLiquid Staff Member - Manifesto7 never intended to start TLT with Tiger - All event start times are amended to add 15 minutes - HotBid's Liquibet vote for the kOs vs F91 Liquibition is changed to be correct - Scorch's post is amended to read: "I agree with this decision, it's consistent with the rules."

Because I don't think we need to outright say that - it's common sense and accepted that when a rule is stupid and unfair, we don't follow it. we aren't kespa.

You do realize you sound 100% like a KESPA referee DQ'ing Leta, also based on rules? Be happy there's still some people thinking around here and doing what is 'right'. We aren't afraid to admit our mistakes and overrule previous decisions at TL. That's how it should be everywhere but somehow most people stick to rules no matter how retarded those rules may be. That's not us though. If we think we can do better then we will improve, and so we have.

I am kind of surprised to see all the bitching about KESPA blindly applying rules and at the same time people asking TL to do the same... As Liquid'Nazgul pointed out, if we can find ways to improve the system, let's do it!

Well let's just leave it at that. There is no perfect solution to such matters I guess, screwing all Leta owners over wouldn't be any better. PS: Hot_Bid is a dirty cheater and should be penalized with ![]()
