Last PL he was absolutely awful, and probably only got to play because he's on eSTRO. It seemed like he was struggling with all of the "straight up" macro maps and needed to improve his mechanics. This season he's back in force, qualifying for Starleagues (OSL and MSL) and playing well for eSTRO in the Proleague - especially with mech against Zergs. His play looks much more well-rounded, and he can vie with the best in standard play - but you can still count on him to occasionally pull of a ballsy build or a slight variation on the existing standard (for example his game vs. Luxury and the Fantasy build). I think Up's performance this SC season has definitely qualified him as more than a gimmick player, but I doubt he'll advance far in either Starleague. He's sort of like Pusan for MBC, the older veteran player who's an important element of his team and performs well in PL but isn't really a threat to take home Starleague titles. | ||

Upmagic has been playing better than ever and he just made his way into the MSL and OSL. (beating much 2-0) He's also performing really well with a 7-3 record in the proleague. I just hope he keeps performing this well and makes it far into one of the individual leagues. | ||

And by "progamers" I mean "Boxer... and a few others." Though what typically happens is the players that join ACE are already past their prime, and the ACE players don't get nearly as much practice time as the rest of the teams, so they're almost always at the bottom of the proleague rankings because of it. | ||
