Fantasy is 10-0 in his last 10 sitting @ 2299 ELO.
http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/korean/players/6_Fantasy/games
I definitely would not consider him "as beatable anyone who isn't JD/Flash" by any stretch of the imagination. =p
Last week he stomped Baby twice in the same day who is @ 2150 following those losses..

could someone possibly update the OP?

When was the last time we had 3 2300+ players at the same time? Was it Jaedong/Bisu/Flash in 2009? it's not the same when the #1 is still over 100 points above #3 lol 2300 used to be REALLY impressive, but now fantasy still seems as beatable as anyone else that isnt JD/flash. I guess his results say otherwise but he just doesnt have near the aura as 2300 pointers used to have. If it weren't for fantasy's undefeated November, and current ten game winning streak, I'd agree with you. But the fact of the matter is, nobody is beating him either. but that's cause he's playing NOBODY 10 times (well... 7-8 out of those 10)
baby is good.. and i hear that was pretty impressive (didn't watch myself, just re-spouting what the fourms claim...) pure isn't bad. But the rest? Hyun? Hiya? Jangbi? if you have a group of 7 players where those are the best you aren't doing well.
it's impressive, but nothing to shout "UNBEATABLE" about. where are the PR players in that? two of last months CBNCs doesn't get me excited by his domination.

This is so wrong... I love it!
FlaSh is....
1-3 wins from Peak ELO overall (breaking his own) 0 wins away from Peak XvT 1 win away from Peak XvZ 3-6 wins away from Peak XvP

i agree with kerpal since we're not talking about the best players but on the so called relative improvement i find fantasy's acheivement well matched to his place as the 3rd/4th best player on the scene right now and if we are talking on relative progress shine is even more surprising with 10 win streak of his own with 2 wins over bisu

I would just like to direct everyone's attention to Flash's ELO page. Go check it out. You will regret it if you don't.
Spoiler for those too lazy... + Show Spoiler + HOLY OMFG F*(&#( WHAT THE I DONT EVEN GARH FLASH U LITTLE
ELO: 2433 Peak: 2443
vT ELO: 2328 (All-time record) vT Peak: 2328 ( = current)
vZ ELO: 2340 (1 ELO point - LOL - off of the record, JvZ, 2341) vZ Peak: 2340 ( = current)
vP ELO: 2300 vP Peak: 2318 (4 ELO points off of the record, JvP, 2322)
Other than feeling awed, I really am starting to realize how unbelievably dominant Jaedong was... and though I was one of those naysayers to JD Bonjwa status, I seriously think he deserves it. No one, not even Flash, had dominated (ELO-wise) in vZ and vP as much as JD... and his vT was no joke either.
Anyway, my god, head explosion. If Flash beats the next Zerg, FvZ ELO > JvZ ELO. Amazing.

Lmao that is quite crazy. Looking at the calendar, KT is up against MBC, then Stars. Shame, wouldn't it be great to fight for his ELO peak vs none other than Jaedong himself?

Jaedong's vZ and vP elo peaks came over a year apart, with lots of faltering in the middle. By the time his ZvP was the best vP ever, his ZvZ had taken a decline to a point where it wasn't as good as Flash's TvZ, etc. Jaedong is absolutely amazing but there is a characteristic difference between why everyone started calling him bonjwa and why they didn't do it with Jaedong.
|
Yes, in many respects, the most impressive part of Flash's dominance is the fact that is occurring in all three matchups. Jaedong's peaks were achieved when he figured out something about a matchup that no-one else had else, thus had a temporary strategic advantage over everyone.

you dont see much T1 fans talking to these types of thread .. makes it even more funny :D :D :D

These are Flash's stats from 2009-07-15 - 2010-12-13 in all three match ups (according to TLPD):
vs Terran: 56 wins - 16 losses (77.78%) vs Zerg: 68 wins - 18 losses (79.07%) vs Protoss: 39 wins - 12 losses (76.47%)
I don't think anyone will be as close to Flash in terms of dominating all three match ups at the same time.

That should not be possible. SO sick.

Aaand it's official! Flash just overtook JD and set a new vZ record.
His TvZ is now the most dominant matchup in BW history (at least ELO wise).
It's kind of sick sorting ELO by performance and looking at the results: vAll current - Flash vAll peak - Flash vT current - Flash vT peak - Flash vZ current - Flash vZ peak - Flash
Only vP has someone else at #1; Jaedong logicaly. And even there Flash is pretty close second. That's just insane.

Grats Flash! FvZ is officially greater than JvZ. ^__^

flash is so ridiculously good that such statistics don't surprise me anymore

This thread is the reason I'll head back to the ol' small vod thread to watch some BWFlash after neglecting it a lot since SC2 became big.
