Hehe dont worry man. I average 300+ apm and am only C~C+ (although that might be quite quite quite modest of me hehe  ) But thats just how some people play I mean im used to going fast even if it is spam, cant help it, however I am playing harder and harder and most of it is becoming more and more useful =]

Seems like people don't understand that there are A LOT of different variables when it comes to stuff like this. He was like what, 14 years old? when i was 14 years old i had all the time in the world. I have been playing starcraft on and off for 10 years with an average of 2-3 games per day during the time when i was active and at best i'm around D+ with ~2500points. It all depends on how much effort you put into it, not your total time played.
All you kolll fanboys make it sound like he's some kind of SC prodigy, he probably spent every hour awake playing starcraft, if you're serious about something and spend a lot of time really wanting to learn from your mistakes, eventually you'll get better.

Even if he is 14 yo and has all the time in the world to practice ... it's still pretty impressive how far he has come. It's not like any 14 yo with all the time in the world can do what he did. But yeah, I bet he has to use most if not all of his free time to play SC.

Yeah but it's obvious why people did not believe him. There's no way a college student or person with a full-time job could play enough SC to reach B- in 5 months.

Anyone could get that good in half a year if they just learned to practice properly. He played straight up every game, played 1k games a season on iccup and never raged. Of course you're going to get really good really fast training like that. Everyone else just wastes their time

depends alot on your race
I could easily reach C with protoss in a couple of months. I'm C-/C terran after playing for years. I never really tried to get good for a long period of time though
