ok -.- first off apologies if this is in wrong section or if I shouldn't be posting it at all but I've never had this problem and I've trawled through techinical issues threads and I can't find anything like it.
I just moved house and I now have sweet internet. Before I couldn't host games and I couldn't even 2v2 it was so bad. But no more, I have high speed, good connection strength broadband. It is clearly in working order as I am posting here right now.. but.... for SOME REASON..... I can't play any games ?? I have already played some but it's just not working now. I had this spoolsv.exe thing which when active just destroyed my internet and I had to keep ending the process otherwise I would just get dropped from the game instantly. This happened a couple of times until the process stopped restarting and I could game normally again. However I was getting annoyed so went into msconfig and turned the printers off so the process can't start. And when I say dropped from the game, I don't mean the other player gets the drop screen and is locked in the game for a minute, I get "insert opponents name" was dropped from the game immediately when starting a game.. the game just ceases and we are both back in the channel instantly. I played a game on the podolsk server and it was fine but came up disconnect on my record ( suspicious? ) either way please help me. I want to play iccup. I have good internet. It's working. I can host games. People can join. I have low ping. I can /stats /time whatever everything seems perfect until I get halfway through my split and me/my opponent drops. every god damn time. Has anyone encountered this or a similar problem before?

Are you running ADVLoader or Chaos Launcher while playing on iCCup?
|
This is ONLY on iccup that you get dropped?
|
It would seem to be only iccup, however I can't connect to any standard servers because my key is invalid so I can't test on those. I have the Chaos Plugin checked in the launcher. All I use is iCCup launcher.

maybe you should talk to iccup admins about your problem, not tl.net members... edit: or read their technical help section, I'm sure other people have experienced the same difficulties
|
Maybe if you read my post you would see I have done this to no avail. That's why I came here. -.- Sorry but that really wasn't helpful. Were you never told if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all ? I'm just asking for help, I don't need you telling me go ask somewhere else. If you can't help me, no worries, I'm not going to hold it against you, but don't give me hassle.
I think it's safe to say I want this problem less than you want this thread.

instant drop can be related to the LatencyChanger, so try disabling it (called LAN-Latency in ICCup launcher). Does the problem also occur if you play on ICCup without the launcher?

Thanks to everyone who responded positively. MasterOfChaos hit the nail on the head. All I got back from iCCup so far is someone telling me specifically to have Lan Latency turned ON so.. yeah ... thanks guys I can play games tonight after work. Much appreciated
