wc3 is another game, but shouldnt be sc2 just be a new version of sc?
ofc the industry itself will not halt, it will increase with a new game which most of todays bw players are waiting for and thats the point why bw will die in 1-2 years.
woyn you said it yourself ... "pursue another route in life before its too late to do so"
in getting a job 2 years of your age can be deciding. if you introduce yourself like this: "i was progamer until my game died" in comparison to "i quited the progaming scene because i knew it has no future for me" who would you prefer to employ if you could decide?
at least in germany its very hard to get a job if you say (indirectly) that you havent learned anything before...

SC2 will be a different game just like WC3. It will have the same effect as WC3 did on SC progaming. It is also possible that SC2 will be a faliure forgotten quickly. Just look at it's graphics... -____-
