Ive done a rough transcript of the MYM interview below. (with a little of my own intepretations from my limited chinese language ability)

-------

Q: PJ you just advanced in the brackets and took down Savior on your way, how were the games vs him and was it hard? how did u prepare etc?

A: Actually ive always looked at the match vs IPX as the finals, If i beat him I would definately get in the finals. I wasnt satisfied with my loss in the first game as it was due to a tactical error. (fyi zerglings owned nexus early) But anyway hes actually one of the best zvp players in the world and being able to win him i felt extremely fortunate as i calculated i only had 20 to 30% chance. i feel very happy and theres a good chance i can win the tournament.

Q: It seems you were also confident to win vs white_ra, was the game also very hard?
PJ to translator: Who?
Translator: White-ra, the guy u beat after savior.
PJ to translator: Ohh..

A: Ive met him online a couple of times in practice and tournaments and basically won more than I lost. And as ive said before if I was able to beat IPX i would definately be in the finals. ..That is not to say i wouldve won white_ra 100%, but it was expected. Also WCG has always been especially important to me so i wouldnt allow myself to make any mistakes.

Q: So you said u practice with white_ra sometimes, are there any other euro players you practice with and isnt there a problem of lag to play with euro guys?

Well when i was in skt1.. um ok i didnt really pracice with them but i would occasionally enter some online tourneys and that was when i was able to play with them with good korean internet speeds. Coming back to china, whether practice or competition.. well i never really played with europeans as you are right that our net speeds suck. Another reason is if we were to practice we usually practice with chinese or koreans as our styles are more similar. it wouldnt make sense to practice with EU/US players since our styles are different and most of the competitions we enter are in china or korea and rarely do we compete with EU/US players. WCG is an exception, but we rarely play with EU/US players.

Q: So in 2 weeks IEF will take place in beijing and there will actually be a lot of euro and korean and china players. so dont u think this is a good thing that the different scenes are all competing together?

A: I definately think its very good for starcraft because uh.. well everything needs communication and building relations etc; and gathering all these people together is always good and practicing with them is of course awesome.

Q: there will be lots of foreign players participating in IEF for example from poland Draco again and a guy named Blackman who is actually considered a oldschool gosu who isnt that active anymore and also Advocate from russia.. so what do you think your chances are; will u be able to win?

A: Outside of korean players i feel my chances of win- ..uh, most importantly i think as long as the tournament format is good, then my chances of winnning are very good.

Q: So while we are on the topic of korean players, lets talk about your final game with Stork in WCG, hes #1 in Kespa and lets say hes the best player in the world, do you think you can win, what will your strategy be and will the maps be a big issue?

A: When i was in korea i practiced with stork a lot and we have known each other for some time now and become good practice partners. In practice games well i won about 40%.. but that was just practice.. now that its competition he will of course be stronger.. but then again I will put all my effort into my games as well. (he didnt say anything about maps)

Q: here is a question from gosugamers.net: if you win WCG tomorrow will you consider going back to korea and join a pro-team?

A: Well if theres such a possibility i think i will go back to korea. Coming back to china this year has been a nice break from korea where it was hard work with few vacations for a year an a half, and i got burnt out. So yea if theres a chance i would definately like to go back to korea.

Q: Lets hope you win tomorrow but even if you lose you have achieved an unprecedented feat for china by getting in the finals. how do you feel about this?

A: I feel china is the 2nd strongest country at starcraft. Players like androide and fisheye have been able to do well in WCG and so its only logical chinese players should at least be able to get 2nd place, but of course there are factors other than pure skill to advance in competition and now that ive done it for china i feel its a little late. of course personally i feel very fortunate and extremely happy.

Q: So you actually said china is 2nd after korea, and i have to say china is progressing very fast in esports; what do you think, will china be the next korea some day?
translator asked PJ if China would become like korea "in a short time"

A: Hmm.. become like korea "in a short time"? I dont think so... but i feel we will slowly get there. well put it this way, whatever it is, we will surely need one thing, which is Time. Give China some time and i feel china will be the best E-country in the world, because we have the best market.

Q: Any final words or greetz?

A: Ive always felt that i am only able to achieve what i have due to support from many people such as my family and friends and fans; i would like to thank all of you. I also hope China's starcraft scene will keep growing stronger and that our esports environment will keep improving.

It stands for ProJava . I don't know what that means but it was his nickname a few years ago before he started using PJ

It's refreshing to hear an interview from a progamer that doesn't aim to the fan's lowest common denominator. That was well put, and PJ, good luck to you!

A mistake in translation, PJ didn't say if he can win against savior he will win the grandfinal, he only said if he wins against savior he will BE in the final match
