P.S. QSENN DT35 needs to go already, it's 2022 Jesus, people are so stubborn to change.
P.P.S. And if anyone wondering what mouse Artosis is using it's CORSAIR KATAR PRO XT Ultra-Light (for some strange reason not listed here).
Keyboard is not as important as mouse that's why a lot of pros still using DT35. It's super cheap in Korea and pretty good keyboard for it's cost. The only drawback of this keyboard is that it is membrane and after some time of active use the buttons become sloppy. But you can buy about 5 (if not more) dt35 instead of one good mechanical one, and it seems more convenient for some players

It is surprising to me that many pro use brown or even blue switches. That must be hard for the fingers after 10 hours of game play.
I personally love browns, I think browns are good for rts because you need to double tap to jump to control groups and the tactile bump helps you to know when it is pressed.

However, playing BW with Blue switches is literally insane. Holy moly...
No wonder so many players are having injuries,
That QSENN is a godawful keyboard.
As far as I know most hand injuries are actually from the mouse. I know that a lower dpi and using your elbow like a counter strike player is more healthy, which could result in tennis elbow or shoulder strain, but those are injuries where relaxation will help heal the injury.
Good job! I think Rain hopped on new mouse just recently, he had fk mini if i'm correct. Apparently it wasn't good enough for him or he just wanted to try something new.
Sacsri Mouse: refused to say Keyboard: refused to say Remarks: I tried so many times to contact him by all available means, including but not limited afreeca chat/youtube/email. So I got multiple bans and full ignore.
had a look at the price of the Logitech G Pro X Superlight and its $150 usd lol crazy how we're gone past the days of the logitech mini optical and dt35.

Barracks Mouse: Zowie Mico, G Pro X Superlight Keyboard: Leopold Red Switches
Bishop Keyboard: Leopold FC900R Brown Switches
HyuK Mouse: G102, G Pro X Superlight
JyJ Keyboard: Deck Francium Red Switches
Sacsri Mouse: G102 Keyboard: Leopold FC750R Red Switches
btw, yabsab is a zerg player
Hi Scan, many thanks for your notes and remarks. I contacted all the players in this list (expect for Sacsri) to double check the information.
Ample: only mouse fixed to FKMINI3. He confirmed the keyboard is ABKO K995P V3 (switches are non-contact 45g, it's "Topre" clones but not original "Topre" as I understood from google information)
Barracks: only mouse fixed to Zowie Mico. He confirmed the keyboard is QSENN DT35
Bishop: no any changes in the list, he confirmed he uses Leopold FC900R red switches and not brown.
HyuK: no any changes in the list, he confirmed he uses Logitech G102 mouse.
JyJ: the keyboard fixed to Deck Francium (Cherry MX Red)
Sacsri devices added and Yabsab race fixed.

Thank you. I just asked Rain again, he is still using Zowie Mico

I've read and seen a lot of geeks info regarding gaming keyboards. Varmilo (China) and Leopold (S.Korea) are considered the highest quality and most reliable in the world.
So I'm thinking to buy Varmilo VA87M Summit R2 (Cherry MX Brown) or Leopold FC750R White Blue Star (Cherry MX Brown). Noticed that almost all progamers choose the mouse with the smallest weight, like FKMINI3 or Logitech G Pro X Superlight, so I'll buy one of them

Those are good keyboards as far as the mechanical keyboard consumer market goes. Good QA, decent switches, affordable etc. If you want premium quality though, custom keyboard give you a better experience.
I would dissuade anyone from buying Varmilo for BW. The keycaps are smaller than regular with a taller profile overall.A bad combination for an intense game like BW. It's basically impossible to glide from key to key while you switch your attack angle.

BarrackS uses both. Zowie Mico and G Pro X Superlight. and he uses DT35 and leopold red switches back and forth. i talked to him yesterday(feb 19th)

Really cool stuff.
If I ever go to Korea I am absolutely going to buy a white and black DT35 and mix them to create the checkerbox effect.
I've used a QSENN for the last 19 years. Pretty much handed to me when i started playing in Korea and I never changed.
My old one died a year or so ago, and bought a new QSENN DT35 recently. Unfortunately the G key keeps sticking. Its annoying. But i still use it.
So many people tried to convert me over to mechanical.
Awesome keyboard. I think it cost me $14 with shippin as well. (<- god damn G key though...)
Looks like the super micro mice ones are more popular nowadays compared to before. Back in early mid 2000's it was predominantly MX300s, and the occasional micro mouse.
Everyone kept using MX300s even when the 'real gaming' mice came out. ie the Logitech G1, G3's. (MX300's were lighter from memory). At the remastered event, it was Draco who told me about the Logitech G Pro / G203 - (although i dont think the G203 was released at the time) was the modern day replacement for them. Looks like Draco knows his stuff, good to see its popular!

Nice list.
and before that KTEC mice were the hottest thing in Starcraft. I think it was the KTM-6500 everyone wanted.

Leopold with the Cherry MX Silent Red switches.
It's not as smooth as Reds but it's a very decent compromise.
Surprised the Razer Viper Mini is not more common (just GoRush), it is a great and affordable mouse. Rocket Jump Ninja the mouse youtuber has it in his top 10. Although mostly raved about in the FPS community it is the perfect shape for rts too. I don't think Korean progamers are to be looked at for what is best, instead realize you can probably go pro on a membrane keyboard and a basic gaming mouse.
Impressive. Surprised you managed to get some of the fastest communities mouse. Nice job. You should add brain to that list, he uses fkmini2. Were you able to get shin`Style or whatever his name is. He's really good and most popular fastest player or was before he headed to do military service. Brought in 3-6k active viewers.
from this vid it looks like Soma is using a Plum board? not sure tho
edit: nvm it's a Leopold, keycap color/pattern made it look like a Plum
Leopold
Plum
Realforce, Durgod plus other clones also have popular models with this keycap profile and color combination.
It's a pretty safe bet overall.
There are Leopold models with a slimmer profile out there in the market right now. All of the models mentioned here are a few years old.
slimmer profile mind to share the model?
It's the 9xx series from Leopold. They're easily available everywhere. The 7xx series is older - 5 years or so. This profile is better for macro in my opinion, it's insane how fast you can macro out of 7 num keys at a time.
I actually don't know why they changed the profile between the different size models. Right now you find keyboards that were released a few years apart. Don't know if it's intentional or not.
