Since reactivating in late 2020, Team Think Quick (est. 2004) has organized over 300 cash and non-cash prize showmatches featuring the best and worst foreign StarCraft players, spending thousands of dollars and countless of hours on financially and morally supporting active Brood War players of all ranks and regions while extending an open cast invite to community members to participate in the casting of those showmatches during our live stream events. Please consider showing your support for our inclusive, collective and charitable platform by subscribing to our YouTube channel, following our Twitch account and joining our Discord server. Broadcast
All replay show matches will be streamed and casted on our Twitch account (TeamThinkQuickTTV) every Friday and Saturday starting from 21:00 EDT. Our casting sessions have always been open to the public since day one so join us! I share my screen in the open casting channel of our discord during our live stream events, and everyone is welcome to hop in and co-cast with me! Your "casting" can be serious and knowledgeable, or you can keep things light hearted and have fun! The whole point of open casting is to create a community oriented inclusive experience, and not recreate professional casting sessions! Please follow updates in this thread for confirmation of future stream events and scheduled lineups.
Selection process
ox[tQ] organizes show matches by privately messaging online discord users to see who can play. He then tries to pair available opponents with similar MMR or skill levels.
If you want to participate, you can also message him or make a request in the show match chat for others to see as well.
Players who have not played a show match ever or recently will be prioritized over those who have.
Original post has been edited by the author to provide an up to date description of the tQ showmatch series. The exchanges below basically document its evolution from its embryonic to present state thanks to the help of community members.
Well I guess I failed to attract players on this forum for our show match tonight. We will probably host an in-house one featuring our own members, prize involved of course.
But if any of you check out this thread tomorrow, feel free to respond as we will be organizing one again tomorrow most likely and the day after, etc.
We are hoping to organize a 1v1 or 2v2 show match again later tonight.
My hope is to expand my networks of good known players so that when we are ready to organize one (from anytime between 8:30 and 11:00 PM eastern), we will have a pool of interested and available players to select from. I understand because of time zone differences, some people who know about our events may not be available to participate, which is unfortunate but rectifiable if we were to organize one at a more convenient time for them. We can do that once in a while. But for the foreseeable future, we would like to continue hosting them later at night eastern time.
Nevertheless, I am certain there are many players out there who would be interested in participating. So please get in touch with us at our discord channel and follow us on our twitch account so that you will know when we are organizing one. All of our sc streams lately have been show matches. Sometimes we stream casual games afterwards too.
We are expecting a little support from everyone seeing we are doing these events for the small community of BW gamers and not our selves. So please help spread the word and add a little more excitement on top of the many wonderful events that already exist for your community.
Middle of summer is a bit of a downtime for a lot of folks. And a forum is a bit slow, if you give a week notice it ll work, probably, otherwise it s tough. As artofturtle said use discord. A lot of players are in clans who typically have matches during the weekend (either clan war or in house) who take priority over events such as yours (due to the short notice, again). Still thank for organising bw events!
Couple questions for more detail : what MMR range are you looking for, what kind of map?
Edit: grammar/typo Try and contact iccup.face here via dm to get access to bwcl general. That channel has a lot of clan leaders/members and it s much more responsive
I assume people are on more now during COVID-19, at least that's what research on gaming points to. But you are probably right.
It would be nice to feature A or S rank players, like tonight when I try to organize a 1v1 show match (and possibly 2v2 after wards).
It would also be great if players agreed to compete on different maps. We don't have any strict rules around that. If fighting spirit is demanded by most or all parties, then so be it. But we insist on using different maps. As a general rule, the loser(s) pick(s) map.
I will do that!
Hi Bakuryui. I apologize for asking the following questions -- I am not too familiar with the BW scene these days. Are you a good player? Do you have a ladder ranking? 1v1er or 2v2er? Available after 9 PM eastern time? Some information would help me figure things out. Thanks for dropping your name in the proverbial tQ hat.
right now 2150 A, 1v1 only. my available time varies weekly, sometimes daily, depending on my work shift. i joined the discord but dont seem to have the permission to react in order to give myself more permissions
Any A or S rank players on who wish to play? Bakuryu may be your opponent, he is on for another 2.5 hours. A best of five will likely take up to 1.5 hour but could end much sooner.
So my friends, we are looking to organize more show matches tonight, usually starting from 8 PM EST. We always need a good pool of talented players (high A or S rank preferably) to feature in these events. It would help if you join our discord (link posted above) or hang out in channel: op [tQ] on US West where our show match players typically meet before we create a game for them to play in.
It is my hope that the BW community supports these events as much as possible by participating in them as players, letting other people know about our daily show match series, joining our discord with the intention of setting up a show match, following our stream, chatting with us in the twitch stream, etc. so that this thing could take on a life of its own and be self-sustainable. Any sort of revenue we are able to generate would go directly back into these show matches so no individual would profit from it (like that's really possible given the niche BW community). The two individuals financing these events including myself have careers and other aspirations so they are not looking to make money here It is pure entertainment and desire to make daily show match events a reality for the sc community to enjoy in between occasional tournament and other show match events. So please help us make it grow.
Yesterday we had the following 1v1 show matches:
iRk-OyAji (P) vs TerrOr4u(eF] (T) TerrOr4u(eF] (T) vs djy (P) SouL)Z(cRoSs (Z) vs Dewalt1 (P) SouL)T(Dandy (T) vs dM-Tech (P)
Thanks for the suggestion. Another person recently made a similar request. We really should try to organize things better for everyone. Will try to do that in the near future. At the moment, I am trying my best to line up new matches every day with some difficulty, although I appreciate the help and support of a handful of people who have assisted in the match making process!
Looking for talented players to feature in our daily show match series now! Please come to our home channel on US West or better yet message me on our discord.

We are all old people with jobs. For those of us fortunate enough, our busy weekly schedules didn't change much. And for some they are now/were stuck at home with more kids during the day then they usually are.
We are currently testing out an additional method of organizing and broadcasting show match events. We are thinking about allowing two good players to fight a preapproved tQ $ show match without us, and then privately sending me the replays afterwards through discord. The replays can be titled game 1, game 2, game 3, etc. I would need the email address of the winner to send prize. We could then stream/cast those games during our normal streaming hours along with any live games we may have. This alternative system might accommodate a lot of players who could not play during our normal hours, especially those based in Europe.
However, the matches would have to be preapproved, so get in touch with me beforehand. They could also be 2v2. I would need to know all the names of the players (preferrably S rank or high A please). We also need the players not to stream those games, or to share the replays with anyone. Doing so would affect their participation in our future events. Small requirement in my opinion.
As an aside, it is my sincere hope that if we are able to continue these events on a daily basis, that it becomes a collectively run organization within the SC community, with people contributing by way of participation, casting, offering feedback suggestions, etc. so that no single individual or group has 100% control over it or solely financially benefits from it. A sort of (Robert) Owenian cooperative sc event run by and for the wonderful BW community, provided egos, petty disputes, compensation discrepancies, etc. do not get in the way. I would expect most of any revenue generated to go straight back into financing show matches so that wiggly and I do not pay (as much) out of pocket. Of course I understand some people may need partial compensation such as observer, casters, key organizers of events who work on it day to day. I am looking forward to stepping away and allowing others who genuinely care about the community to help maintain and build whatever this is. Just some thoughts of mine any way.
Some feedback on lag, battle.net. SC:R still lags when it's across continents. At least to korea for most europeans, americans. So the days when we pressed savegame to see the lagscreen, then typed "Stop porn dl!" In caps lock to the playername we saw is over. The Distance itself just increases lag. So the southamerican or the korean is not more at fault than the other for laggy games.
Having multiple observers in that kind of game adds to the lag. So I'd keep that for when all players, observers are from the same continent. If it's cross continent players, the others can commentate from the stream.
I liked the chill vibe, the actuall chilling in a channel between games. So casting from replays might take away that live feel and sitting in a lobby together. For higher quality games, less risk of "drama" about lag it's better. But if the players agree to this set up they should just be mature about it, play under some lag. And I value the spontaneuous chill vibe. Brings something extra as most foreigner events cast replays. I can't think of another chill showmatch channel with livegames, good players.
Also, the one with the best connection should create. Of one of yall sit on a good connection then let that one host. It helps a little at least afaik.
Turnrate is a thing to. If you're creating a game for them to play, the players are from south america and korea then there'll be lag, Blizzards dynamic turnrate setup works worse. From my experience and from what I've seen players do is that they play with a set Turnrate, usually 14-16 as pre-set(people pretty much hunch on which TR it likely should be stable on based on experience of different distances).
The top players have all played eachother, know these things better than I do, so I'd suggest asking em before a game about set TR(if they're from different continents). And if they only want ro play without obs first then sure but yeah I liked this as a viewer.
It could make running it a bit smoother, perhaps stop some unnecessary "drama", like yesterdays.
(Correct me on these Turnrate, lag things if I'm wrong. )
And np about the commercials. Imo most BW streamers could do more of it. If it's to help the scene a 30 sec break between games is no big deal.
Keep it up! Step by step we make Brood War great again.
40 individuals donate $1 each = $40 show matches for four 1v1s or two 2v2s 400 donations of $1 = 40 show matches etc.
The money goes strictly to players, as our transparent donation system shows. For now we are financing these events, but it would be nice if BW community members started to support their own players a little bit more. Read more about our collective enterprise on our (i.e., YOUR) discord channel. A platform for and by the BW community.
We're back on tonight! Watch the stream live for free, co-cast games, subscribe/donate to finance $ matches, check out the past $ matches on YouTube for free and support your community of foreign and korean talented players!
With this initiative, we are testing to see whether there really is a unified and supportive BW community to speak of, which is devoid of segmentation (along ethnic/regional lines) and proprietory elements looking to benefit for themselves in some shape or form.
Great initiative! Little bit hard to find it though - will also try to spread the word where I can. Feels like matches happen at random times with random players. I know things are still developing and read that there are going to be regular times when these showmatches happen which is very much needed. Every beginning is hard so this is understandable.
Shame it starts so late for european viewers. Some liquipedia page would be awesome though with the results!
Thanks for the feedback Szinkler. I think Primaone provided the win records of show match players so far (but not their losses) on his twitch account. We'll try to do that on liquidpedia as well asap.
We will be streaming tQ $ show matches three times a week now, on fridays and saturdays (and the third day is still under discussion, to be announced very soon). Advance notice of actual show matches to take place on a particular streaming event will be provided (hopefully) on this discord and other places to hype up the events and players more. But this really depends on us getting those matches done in advance.
We are now looking to organize the best show matches possible, with a focus on balanced and anticipated match ups. Please help us by getting involved in the matchmaking process with suggestions or if you're a player, coordinate with your opponent to set one up but remember to get approval from me first please. No lopsided match ups. We are looking for GGs. We need to make the show matches as entertaining and exciting as possible. Foreigners will be paired up with foreigners and koreans will be paired up with koreans. We would like to include both types of players, but we are looking to do more foreign matches to support the community outside the mecca of sc (korea). Most of our streamed events will be of replay $ matches (I imagine) but we will try to do live games as well where possible. I think our streaming time on fridays and saturdays plus another day to be announced will remain the same for the foreseeable future since we have other commitments.
All of you talented and interested players on here, please help me set up a good $ show match with you and a formidable opponent to help this platform grow. It's here to support you all. Thanks for reading.
We're looking to do $ show matches between B rank players too folks (along with A and S rank players as we have been doing), so join our discord and participate in our events.
We streaming again tonight starting at 9pm EST. We will be showing Dewalt vs Trutacz (bo5) at some point so tune in and show your support for YOUR platform!
We're streaming and casting new show matches tonight and tomorrow, starting from 9 PM EST. Show your support for the BW community and check out some of the wonderful games we had this past week.
We've had Drone vs Nemu, Dewalt vs Sziky so far and now Terror vs Trutacz.
UPDATE
We are modifying our rules to create a more inclusive and fair show match system. Major changes include:
- All 1v1 S rank show match (bo5) winners will receive $10.00
- 1v1 A rank show match winners will receive $5.00 (NEW)
- 1v1 B rank show match winners will receive no prize but have their games casted/streamed (NEW)
If A rankers obtain S rank, then they can compete for higher prize ($10 instead of $5), and if B rankers move up to A rank, then they can compete for $5 prize.
I will try my best to set up show matches involving A and B rank players from now on so we can stream/cast them during our regular broadcasting hours along with the show matches of S rank players.
Please note that I did try in the past to organize such events (rather informally) with less success. However, I hope starting now, some of you A rank and B rank players will accept my invitation to participate in a show match.
As always, those players who have not participated in a show match yet or recently will be prioritized over repeat players. This applies to all ranks (S, A and B). If we have repeat players, it is because I was unable to find anyone else.
The total cost for one week’s worth of show matches (to be streamed on Friday and Saturday) will be $50.00.
This money is intended to finance the following show matches for that week:
1v1 S rank show match ($10.00) X 4 1v1 A ladder rank show match ($5.00) X 2 1v1 B ladder rank show winner would receive no prize X 2
On each streaming day, we will try to broadcast the following show matches:
1v1 S rank show match ($10.00) X 2 1v1 A ladder rank show match ($5.00) 1v1 B ladder rank show winner would receive no prize
I think the S rank show matches can be easily organized. But we will see about the A and B rank ones.
If anyone here or out there donates to our platform, the money (even $1) will go toward financing show matches. For example, if 20 people were to donate $5 each, then we would have enough money ($100) to cover two weeks' worth of show matches.
Any B and C rank players out there interested in participating in our series, please join our discord and request to play in a show match. We got a few B and C rank players looking for an equal and worthy opponent.
Unfortunately, there are no prizes for these type of show matches (not until you get to A or S rank), but your games will be streamed/casted and uploaded onto our YT.
Just started playing again. Currently going from 1650 up to 1825 and back down again. Currently 1650 and 1770.
I can play anyone with a few hours notice, even if they are much better than me. I would not recommend casting a zvz match of mine. I'm in Cali on west, if servers matter.
Please join our discord server if you are interested in participating in show match events. We are featuring S, A, B, C, and even D rank players (please read our rules). Get in touch with me or feel free to drop a message in the chat to indicate your interest and availability.
Message received! We will try to set you up for a show match.
Folks join the discord, follow the twitch and check out the show matches so far. This is everyone's platform, so get involved in it as much or as little as you want.
It is certainly a somber week within the BW community. Apologies in advance for posting about our trivial series with everything going on and all.
We are back tomorrow and Saturday with more show matches. We are trying to fit in at least one show match featuring B rank players (or lower) and one show match featuring A rank players on each streaming day.
For example, tomorrow we plan to show the following bo5 show matches.
blander vs jOjO (B rank show match) favorit vs newblish (A rank show match) dewalt vs nemu S dandy vs trutacz S
On Saturday, we will most likely show:
is this discord vs mcsalad (F) art of turtle vs tousan (B) dreamer vs kwark (A) Dewalt vs dreamer vs grimeboss vs kame vs sziky (best of one free for all)
As much as possible, we try to premier show matches which had been played first, but it is a little tricky because we need to make sure we have different ranked show matches featuring different players each week. For the most part however, we are going by a 'first played first show' basis.
Here's Friday's show match schedule (most likely):
Snipe vs brooks (C/D rank show match) Bakuryu vs dreamer (A) dasqwe vs trutacz dewalt vs nemu dewalt vs scan dragon vs grimeboss on Mellow's/Mineral's custom made map called Charmander.
We stream and cast past show matches (using replays) every Friday and Saturday starting from 9:00 pm EST from: https://www.twitch.tv/primaonettv
We organize mainly 1v1 (prize and non-prize) show matches with S, A, B, C, D and F rank players. Sometimes we do 2v2s and free for alls too!
All are welcome. So join our discord and express interest in participating in a show match (as per our rules channel): https://discord.gg/B6kncux
We also welcome those who wish to sponsor a show match of their own (e.g., offer $5 prize or higher to S rank players or lower for a best-of-three or more) to take advantage of our platform to find show match players. You can keep the replays of the show match for yourself, or share them with us to cast/stream during our stream events, and/or join us to cast your sponsored show match if you like.
Map makers are especially welcomed on our discord to sponsor a show match on their own maps. We had one person do that successfully so far.
We'll be off air this weekend! Apologies to our handful of lovely viewers So no stream this Friday and Saturday, unfortunately it is a busy time for gerry and myself. But we'll continue to organize show matches and hopefully resume streaming past show matches next week.
So we've spent almost $2,000 on S and A rank show match players so far and we've only been doing this for a month. Here's a link to our streamed events so far.
Everyone is welcome to join our discord, participate in a show match, sponsor a show match and/or help us cast when we're streaming! I have about 30 more unseen show matches in my replay bag = )
Shout out to rus_brain for accepting our application for an e-sports grant. The money's not as important as the offer of support! Hope more community members get involved with us.
We're back on Friday and Saturday! Pato will be filling in for PrimaOne on PrimaOne's account temporarily.
On Friday, we plan to show the following show matches:
agge vs stanel (C) landowner vs keen (A) dragon vs madinho (S) dewalt vs trutacz (S) (on Minerals' new map called charmander in STPL map competition) +maybe one more if we have time
Saturday's schedule:
art of turtle vs wawa (B) darkysh vs kwark on blindside (A) (on Minerals' new map called blindside in STPL map competition) ivaniox vs voddy (S) dewalt vs sziky (S) (sponsored by Szinkler) +maybe one more if we have time
Shout out to the people who have sponsored a show match and/or donated their prize for future show matches!
We're back on tonight! Ley[tQ] will be covering for sexy Pato who has a tournament match. Pato and Ley are temporarily covering for PrimaOne who I expect to be back by the end of October hopefully.
Tonight's schedule (with Ley as observer):
Babo/dandy vs Scan/yoon bo5 Dewalt vs Terror (bo5) Dandy vs Sziky (bo5)
Tomorrow's schedule (with stupid sexy Pato as observer):
Dandy vs Stryker (bo5) Babo vs Dragon (bo5) +1 more if we have time
Reminder we will be streaming show matches on Wednesdays at 2100 CET as part of our European show match series. Y2Kid has graciously volunteered to cast/stream show matches on PrimaOne's account. We do invite members of the community to cast with him on our discord. Very excited about another stream event in the middle of the week. We have a lot of show matches in our proverbial replay bag so it will be nice to show more of them, especially at this time when PrimaOne is not around and we are unable to stream for almost 8 hours each week like we used to. But he will be back.
1v1: dewalt vs kare (bo5) 1v2: yoon vs a bug and freyasspirit (bo3) 1v2: yoon vs borisu and lucky noob (bo1) 1v2: scan vs badulake and pizzalord (bo1)
Saturday's lineup is dedicated to foreign map maker Freakling. All the show matches have been organized on his maps, both old and new (such as Beehive [Metamorphosis], Dies Iræ and Tar Basin). Big thanks to the players below for agreeing to fight on relatively unknown territories Pato will observe/cast.
grimeboss vs alm (bo5) babo vs bakuryu (bo5) cryoc vs dragon (bo5)
We will be streaming more show matches this Friday and Saturday with sexy Pato as obs/caster.
Friday's event is (again) dedicated to the foreign map maker Freakling who may join to cast various matches played on his new maps. He will be waking up early to attend the event (starting at around 3:00 am in Germany)..
The event will feature the following show matches:
Trutacz vs Voddy (bo5) on maps called:
Dies Irae
Incidence
Demonio Azul (created by LastCurse, edited by Freakling)
Cryoc (T) vs Grimeboss (P) (bo5) on the same map called Tar Basin
We might also show Ample vs Dewalt (bo5) on one of Freakling's maps if that show match happens before Friday's event!
Saturday's stream event is dedicated to one of the most active and upcoming foreign map makers - StyleZerg - who might join to cast the following matches on his maps:
Stryker vs Voddy (bo5) on the following maps:
Captured silence
Spider monkey
Clown
Alm vs Dreamer (bo5) on the same maps above.
tQ show match series has hooked up with several map makers to introduce alternative maps that players can fight their show matches on. We are trying to become the testing ground for newer competition maps which might make it into leagues (including ASL) and ladder. With this endeavor, we are also trying to promote dialogue and engagement among map makers and players and shed a light on one of the most marginalized, underappreciated yet fundamental aspects of Brood War: map making culture! We hope to educate fans of Brood War such as myself about map making and how it intersects and influences player gaming builds and strategies. We also hope to encourage old and new map makers to get involved. I think this is a worthwhile endeavour and certainly distinguishes us from other platforms.
Using a selection process involving map makers, we have introduced a new system for introducing alternative 'maps of the month' (which are posted in our discord's 'show maps' channel). These maps will change on a monthly (or slightly longer basis). I will ask prize and non prize show matches to fight on one of those alternative maps repeatedly in a bo5 or bo3. This will give players more time to test out and practice on new maps and provide feedback to map makers so they can make changes as necessary. It also creates a dialogue between players and mappers which to my knowledge has been lacking. The show matches will be streamed and casted (sometimes by map makers) and uploaded as a video and possibly used for promotional consideration at other events and leagues in the future.
We're streaming new cash prize show matches this week as part of our regular series = )
Friday's event is dedicated to the biggest supporter and sponsor of foreign Brood War:
Rus-Brain (Z) vs ash-Return (Z) [AlbertShulgn] Kare (T) vs 7227 (Z) [cRoSs]
Saturday's lineup:
DragOn [NaS] (P) vs Soul)Z(Sziky (Z)
We'll be featuring new casters in the coming weeks in preparation for our post-New Year event
Show your support on Friday for my favourite BW community member and leader Rus_Brain by tuning in and/or watching the uploaded video of his showmatch on our YT account (PrimaOneTTV).
You're more than welcome! Thanks for expressing interest.
Our stream events this week are temporarily cancelled as we make some platform transitions/changes (e.g., new YouTube and Twitch accounts) and continue to plan our future event
Not that anybody cares with terrific BSL match ups and production spoiling fans

Tonight starting at 9:00 PM EDT, I plan to stream and observe the following show matches myself!

In the weeks ahead, I will be preparing for our future tournament event by incorporating new graphics and casting into our regular show matches series (when those things are ready). For now, I will be practicing my streaming and observing "skills."
We're back tonight with more show matches! I'll be streaming and observing myself, hopefully with guest co-casters. Feel free to join us by hopping into the 'open cast' voice channel of our discord and casting the games via my screen share. We have extended an open cast invite to all community members to participate in the casting of our show matches so please consider taking advantage of it.
Here's tonight's lineup:
'ArmadA[NaS] (P) vs Art_0f_Turtle (Z) (B rank bo3) on Gosomi's (new STPL) map called Tear of Goddess
Strudel vs Tim (A rank, bo5) on DogLived's map called Road Warrior
Scan [lllllIIllIlIlII] (T) vs Yoon [7411_yoon] (Z) (bo5) on Minerals' (new STPL) map called Blindside
I have set up a new Twitch account so please follow it. I need to get affiliate status in preparation of our planned tournament event. Our new YouTube account will contain all of our past and new content. Please subscribe!
We're back on Friday and Saturday with more show matches! I'll be observing and streaming myself (sorry but somebody's got to do it!) and sharing my screen in the 'open cast' voice channel of our discord so feel free to join that channel during our live stream events and cast the games with me and company!

Hi friends! Here's our crazy lineup for this week. Feel free to join our open invite cast sessions. I will be sharing my screen on our discord server when we're live in the 'open casting' channel, so hop in it and cast the games with me!

Ami`WugsaW (T) vs A-Bug (Z) (E rank, bo3) on map Captured Silence by StyleZerg iRk-Alm (T) vs [Kwark] 100_apm (P) ($ A rank, bo5) on map Tear of Goddess by Gosomi SouL)R(babo (Z) vs iRk-OyAji (P) ($ S rank, bo7) 4 person FFA: Ash-Zasz (Z) vs iRk-Alm (T) vs Red_LML (P) vs GruGloG[ReV] (Z) on map Dies Irae by Freakling *nOm.Doglived (Z) vs hOly]GraiL (Z) on melee map Infested Terrain by StyleZerg

Rules: no attacking until each zerg player has created at least 3 infested terrans. There is a neutral command centre in all spawning positions plus a few more scattered throughout the map. Use of infested terrans plus other army units encouraged. Here's a preview of the map Infested Terrain by StyleZerg.
Saturday November 28 starting at 21:00 EST
ash-Sabb4th (T) vs dM-Strudel (T) (B rank, bo3) on maps by Freakling [Aegyo] DroneDance (Z) vs iRk-Alm (T) ($ A rank, bo5) iRk-vOddy (T) vs lvaNioX (P) ($ S rank, bo5) 4 person (F/E rank) FFA: A-Bug (Z) vs Ami`Imp (P) vs Tandordraco (P) vs is_this_brodwar (Z) *ash.Dreamer (Z) vs [Kame] Dachom (Z) vs ErOs_GRIMEBOSS (Z) (bo3) on map Infested Terrain by StyleZerg
*infested terran showmatch, first game is FFA, then two games of 1v1 because one person had to go.
I forgot to mention the entrances of bases are very narrow, so only smaller units can fit through them. There's a back door, however. There are also two geysers in each main base and mineral patches on both sides. There are three creep colonies behind each main too. The map maker is known for his creative and wild side, so this type of show match easily complemented and tapped into his mapping abilities.

Thank you Kwark for casting our 1v1 melee showmatches recently. Your witty and insightful commentary certainly makes our series more interesting for our handful of wonderful viewers! "I don't hate it at all" (my Kwark impression).
Here are videos of those two showmatches:
Plus two videos of our fun "infested terran" showmatches featuring lower rank players who normally don't get to compete for prizes.
I will put together a special show match schedule for this Friday and Saturday in case anyone is around to watch it. Maybe show matches like:
OctZerg vs Tim SnOw vs two E rank players Cryoc vs Madinho Dragon vs Terroru Stryker vs Voddy 7-8 person FFA Khala vs Yoon Khala vs two E rankers Terroru vs Voddy Dewalt vs Khala Infested terran showmatches etc.
This year has been awful everywhere around the world. But we have all tried to make the most out of it given our shared and unique circumstances. Together we have sought refuge from the world's troubles by immersing ourselves in this old game called Brood War. We have tried our best to overcome all of the physical barriers in the way of our social nature by connecting with each other through wonderful communities online established and maintained by human beings who remain hopeful, passionate and giving. We should all be grateful and thank each other for sparking a little more magic in our lives in the midst of darkness. Our stream schedule this week is dedicated to all the lives who have been touched by this silly old game and its small albeit lovely community oriented members during the pandemic. We have shared many small yet meaningful moments together, filled with laughter, entertainment, joy and even frustration. Here's to everyone and to a better future for humanity and the environment

Please consider showing your support for our inclusive, collective and charitable platform by joining our discord, participating in a showmatch and/or co-casting with us. Come and be welcome!

These games come from the unofficial play test showmatches that we organized on all the semi finalist maps a little while ago. So we won't be keeping scores since we're not showing all the games of each showmatch, instead we'll be showing one game on one semi finalist map, then another game on a different map and so on.
These two teaser streams are intended to raise awareness around the official New Worlds Map Contest Play-Test Tournament #1 scheduled for Saturday June 5 starting at 13:00 EDT | 19:00 CEST on the map Wavelet.
Also these teaser events are intended to reward the semi finalist map makers for participating in this map contest series and hopefully incentivize them to continue participating in future map contest events.
They are also aimed at showcasing and acknowledging our wonderful unofficial play testers who took the time to offer feedback and test out all the semi finalist maps from this contest.
Lastly these events are to celebrate BW maps, map making and map makers!
