JunioR - Na Gyung Bo - 나경보 - Zerg
Span of Career - 2001 to 2004

With a career record of 39-44, it isn't really enough to shout out "good player" for many people, but in my eyes, Junior was a great Zerg that just got unlucky. He started off slowly, cruising through KPGA Tournaments, but his breakout was during the infamous NATE Tournament where he crushed Sync, fOru and knocked BoxeR out of the tournament. In the Round of 8 though, things weren't good for him as he lost to ChRh and Oddysay.

Junior started to slump, participating in ghemTV starleagues and OGN minor leagues to poor results. He finally had another chance though of making another starleague, as he managed to walk through IntoTheRain, Sunny, Reach and Oversky to get a chance for a fourth seed in the next OSL at the time, mycube. Unfortunately, he met a Zerg in Side, and it was obvious ZvZ was both their weak point. Side managed to slide through 3-2. He would go on to lose in the Round of 16. Many felt Junior deserved that seed, but life goes on as many people say.

He then kept playing on for Soul in Teamleagues, as well as trying to qualify for the indiviaual leagues. His last sucess was in the Cengame MSL, where he bowed out to both rA and Yooi. After some ugly performances in the next Dual Tournaments and Minor Leagues, he was eventually released from Soul. Many said that he would go onto sign a contract with SK Telecom, where at the time, they needed Zergs. This never happend. Junior would eventually join eNature for one season, dissapear from the progaming scene forever.

Junior went on to eNature Top Team and played for them for one season (the season where they only had 1 win against Soul)

Then he went on to host shows on OGN. He did some commecials, too. He also helped sell gaming PCs on those Korean home shopping channels. I think he went to the army after that.

Aw, was gonna do FreeDom until I saw Asla got it .

P.S. his name is Jang Yong-Seok (suk is the colloquial spelling of 'seok' but if young is the colloquial spelling of 'yeong' then 'young' is definitely incorrect).

These are the most awesome thing ever, I'll read them sometime soon.

They all deserve a reading, as they are all "kind-of" short.

Except for Panorama's, that thing is like a longcat ;p.

Rival: Nada

Bio: Alot of newer players think gorush is new or middle school but he is old school. He was a progamer from 2000. But he took a break from progaming because of his studies. Opposite from his id he doesnt rush much^^. Before he was known as having the best zvz in korea overtaking Chojja's zvz throne. He is known as not becoming good because of talent but from hard work. He became popular around 2005 where he was literally unbeatable on tv only losing to Nal_ra. He is known for his series with Nada where he was the only zerg to beat an inshape in a bo7. He could have gone higher for Iops osl but he lost to nada. His nickname is the Magician of Management because in his prime he controlled the game from start to end. He always seems to have more units good positioning. He was one of the zergs who brought on the management zergs with savior and chojja. He doesnt have the best macro or the best micro but he controls the pace of the game. He was known as having the best zvz and zvp but had a bad zvp. But it looks like he found the answer for his zvt but his other matchups starting going down. He got in a slump where he got 4 pooled by chojja and oversky in dual tournament.

Notable games:
Gorush vs. Nada on luna yragk 1st game
Gorush vs. Nal_ra on ever forte proleague

Shark[gm] - Seo Gyung Jong - 서경종
Race: Zerg
Birthdate: 07/03/1987
Current Team: MBCGame Hero
Former Team(s): N/A
Achivements
SKY Proleague 2006 - 1st Place (MBCGame Hero)
2nd KeSPA Cup - 1st Place (MBCGame Hero)
Bio
In 2003 a player by the name of Seo Gyung Jong played his first televised game, losing to Na Doh Hyun (Silent_Control) in LifeZone KPGA Team League. The very next day he defeated Park Gyung Lak (Junwi) also in LifeZone KPGA Team League. This 16 year old would not be seen on the progaming circuit for 2 years and would remain relatively unknown until 2006...

MBCGame Hero started the season off strongly, defeating KTF, OGN, Soul and eNature before dropping two games against Pantech and SKT1. MBC came back however, and defeated Samsung and then CJ convincingly but were once again stopped by Hanbit. Facing exclusion from the final four if they dropped another game, MBC pulled together and won 3-0 against Lecaf. The stage was now set for MBC to make its way into post season playoffs.

Their first match would be against a strong KTF MagicNs side. It was here that the unknown Gyung Jong would expose himself to the world. After Park Sung Jun (Julyzerg), Yum Bo Sung (Sea) and the Kim Taek Yong/Kim Dong Hyun (Bisu/Saint) team expectedly won their games, the 4th set was between the unknown Gyung Jong and Lee Byung Min (Goodfriend). KTF needed a win here to prevent a 4-0. What would happen next would go down in proleague history.

Opening with a 9 pool on Sin Cultivation Period, Gyung Jong moved into 1 base ling/range hydra and with perfect control and timing demolished Byung Min. The teamliquid forums were in shock;

OMFG AMAZING TIMING ATTACK, that was so perfectly planned and executed, wow
On July 15 2006 00:41 DreamScaR wrote:
I never thought that would work.. Many ideas popping into my head

And with Gyung Jong's victory MBC defeated KTF 4-0 and moved onto the next round against rivals CJ Entus.

Once again, MBC sent Gyung Jong out on Sin Cultivation Period. This time his opponent would be the 'Perfect Terran' Seo Ji Hoon (Xellos). Using pure lings after an 12 pool opening, Shark completely destroyed Ji Hoon as he did with Byung Min. At this stage, Shark had deservedly earned the title of 'Sniper' for MBCGame Hero. MBC went on to defeat CJ 4-2, but lost to SKT1 in the finals 1-4.

Gyung Jong was also credited with developing a new style of mutalisk control around the same time. By grouping mutalisk's with larvae, stacking of mutalisk's is incredibly easy and the previous method of grouping with an overlord can become quite annoying when overlords are traversing the map or when they have speed.

After Gyung Jong's sniping efforts in the first season of proleague 2006, he has not resurfaced to the same degree since. However, he is showing signs of hope with various entries into MSL and his recent entry in Daum OSL but was stopped short by two of the greatest players in todays scene, Park Jung Suk (Reach) and Byun Hyung Tae (iris). Nevertheless, Gyung Jong's future is a bright one, and we all look forward to the time he explodes onto the scene.

I feel like doing DMZ.

Not a player per se, but still legendary. I have to sleep soon, though.

Oh, and you can do Reach or YellOw if you'd like, LR is in Taiwan right now. I'm sure he'd do his own versions if he were to come back in time.

Achievements
So1 OSL - 1st Place
Shinhan 2 OSL - 2nd Place
Bio:
The starcraft world was severely shocked after the finals of the So1 Starleague. An unknown Protoss using the alias "Anytime[gm]" demolished the Terran Emperor 3-2 in the final and in doing so walked the royal road. Oh Yeong Jong had come from the troubled Plus team lacking the financial support of a sponsor, to the glory of becoming and OSL champion.

in 2003 Yeong Jong entered the Yuhsoo Amateur Game Festival along with various other amateur gamers. Despite placing 4th, he had caught the eye of Han Sang Yong, coach of Plus, and was quickly recruited into the team. Under the guidance of Park Ji-Ho (PuSan) he quickly mustered an impressive macro earning him the title of "Zealot Factory". Yeong Jong and Ji Ho's friendship would be a critical part of his development.

After Ji Ho left Plus, Yeong Jong assumed the position of primary protoss in the team. He continued to develop under the direction of Sang Yong. It was not until 2005 that Yeong Jong burst out onto the scene like a bullet. Tearing through ODT, he became the 4th seed for the So1 starleague. And following on from his ODT success defeated Choi Yun Sung (iloveoov) 3-1 in the semi finals and then Lim Yo Hwan (boxer) 3-2 in the grand finals.

Yeong Jong became a star over night, and with it became associated with Dark Templar play earning him the nickname "Sasin Toss". It is fair to say that he pioneered Dark Templar openings for the new generation of protoss. In addition to this he became one of the neo-toss kings, along with old friend-turned-rival Park Ji-Ho (PuSan) and Song Byung Goo (Stork).

After So1, Yeong Jong dropped off the scene. This came as no surprise as he succumbed to the OSL winners curse. Impressive showings by team mate Choi Ka Ram (Shinhwa) in conjunction with Yeong Jung's starleague efforts earned plus financial backing from Lecaf and thus Lecaf Oz was born. It would not be until the fall that Yeong Jong would rise again.

In the fall of 2006, in Shinhan 2 OSL, Yeong Jong once again blasted through opponents with an impressive showing. Defeating Park Sung Jun (Julyzerg), Kim Jun Yung (GGplay) and Park Tae Min (Gorush) before destroying Jun Sang Wook (Midas) 3-2 in the semifinals. This time however, he could not go all the way- losing to Lee Yoon Yeol (Nada) in an epic final. Once again, Yeong Jong slumped; earning him the pseudo-nickname "Fall Toss" for only being strong in the fall.

Today, Yeong Jong, along with Lee Jeh Dong (Jaedong), is Lecaf's ace player and their team is currently 3rd in proleague. Fans everywhere love Yeong Jong and eagerly await the fall; and with it another impressive run by their beloved 'Sasin Toss'.
