Hey guys
I'm writing this post to clear up any confusion over the recent dissolution of Team [NaS], since Ive been getting a bunch of questions and so have my (ex) teammates.
I disbanded NaS because of a variety of factors. I personally am tired of leading a team and need a break, partly due to my current life situation being too turbulent. The majority of our roster is also either not playing BW at all, will be taking an extended break for life reasons, or unable to show up at regular team league times reliably. So after finishing our runs in both BWCL and STPL, it was a good time to stop. We wouldnt be able to field a roster when the next seasons came around.
I am also not interested in recruiting more people to fill the void and bump up our roster, were that even possible. I wanted to keep NaS small and tight knit, the S is for squad no matter which version of the name you use. Ive known some of these guys for many years, and our friendship isnt going to change just cause we arnt playing teamleagues under the same tag.
There was zero connection between losing to ReV in STPL, and the decision to disband. Had we won vs ReV, wed face iRk and then Soul if necessary and then disbanded after our run was done. I am not on "life tilt" from recent BW losses either, Ive taken losses before lol. It is far more frustrating that ladder still does not have racepicking support and likely never will, stunting my ability to practice and improve, than any single tournament loss.
NaS B still exists and has no activity problems, they are still going to be playing in BWCL next season far as I know. I relinquish my power over that team and place it fully in the hands of my friend Snipe[NaS]. They may choose to rebrand or not, thats not my concern. I wish them GL ofc.
As for myself, I will be inactive for a bit but I intend to play in leagues again soon enough. I havent decided whether I should join another team in order to participate in STPL/BWCL, ill make that decision later if I have the time for them. Ive already had several offers, but atm im not interested in teams. Theres even been some talk of a NaS revival down the road as well, who knows what the future will hold. Im just going to take it ez for now.

Damn.. Remember NaS started in 2016 with close group of friends? 4 years passed and well i knew drag had to take a break. It is what is now. Hoping you come back stronger than ever dawg

aww sad to see you guys go. Was always a fun and mannered clanwar. But as an ex-clanleader myself I know how time consuming and frustrating it can be. Hope to see you guys revive your clan someday though!
Keep it up bro! and going out as champs is also nice

I don't know why this made me chuckle but it did.
Sad to hear NaS won't be partaking in STPL and BWCL for now, but if you don't want to run the team and you don't have an active enough roster anwyay its probably not best to force it and finish on a high! Thanks for running NaS and doing it so well and hopefully we'll see the more active people including you join another team so we can continue to see you fighting in STPL and BWCL :D

Great run over the years. What started as an NA only clan and then slowly added TerrOr and eOnzerg. We never went past that or recruited anyone else outside of NA to make sure it would stay a true "squad."

What started as a No Autism Squad certainly ended with at least some autism. Also, I think it's fair to say you'd have recruited more top foreigners if given the chance. Eon and Terror just so happened to be teamless.

Yes, that's probably true.
Also, as we come to this bitter sweet ending, and think back to even before NaS was officially formed (1.16 before Remastered came out), we had Yaj and Bonyth also a part of the "Squad" -- just thinking back on some of the memories and the longstanding friendship that many of us had over the years. Somewhere that friendship clearly got lost but a memory is a memory lol.
Actually, if 1.18 didn't split regions on friend lists the way it did, I wouldn't be surprised if Bonyth actually joined NaS with us from the start. Maybe wishful thinking, but a high probability. That would've really changed things in term of winnings.
Anyways, good luck all. And I hope everyone makes their way into different teams so that the scene/leagues get shaken up a bit.
