Hello. I decided to start playing BW and i got the game and launcher all done.
now i need some help on settings. spefically
1. can i play in windowed full screen mode?
2. if no to q1, how can i adjust the window size? (full screen mode screws up my double monitor set up
3. on the game itself, what are the 7 buttons on the top right? the way left one is keeping mouse inside the game and the way right one is obvious close window though.
4. mouse sensativiity... how do make the game keep my windows OS mouse sensitivity?
5. how do i get more maps downloaded?
6. when i am buliding a structure in the game, how do i make it be in teh middle of my mouse cursor? its always a little bit on the upper left side.

1) No
2) There is a 2x button on the top right, other than that you can't adjust.
3) Just press them, nothing is going to explode and it's fairly self explanatory what they do.
4) The mouse sensitivity doesn't change unless you tell it to. If you're playing in fullscreen mode, what you're confusing that with is the fact that the resolution of bw is a lot lower, therefore there are less pixels to cross, even though your mouse is still traveling the same distance per pixel.
5) You can download them in bw, or the "official" map pack: http://iccup.com/en/files.html

Honestly, I wouldn't bother playing anything right now, just wait till the end of the week when 1.18 releases.

yeah i figured that was the case for the mouse. do you play on windowed or full screen personally?

I don't remember what all of the buttons do and I'm not on a computer with BW installed currently. I know one of them contains the mouse within the border of bw.
I play in full screen, but I have my mouse setup so that I can change it's CPI depending on the resolution of the game so that it's always 1:1 in terms of screen position for mouse movement. I have a 1440p screen, and on normal usage my mouse tracks at 1200 CPI, on bw which is a 640x480 game I have it track at 400 CPI.
As for the building position, once again I don't have bw installed so I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's the way it normally is and you're going to have to live with it.
As for the 1.18 comment, have you not been following the bw news since yesterday about a new patch?

Download mca launcher, it has more features than iccup launcher

Hello and welcome!
First of all, almost everyone use the MCA Launcher, made by MCA64. The iCCup launcher is kinda deprecated for BW. The MCA launcher has a lot of cool features.

The first button with a mouse curson icon prevents the cursor to go outside the window. Indispensable in game when playing in windowed mode.
The third icon with a cross arrow prevents the window to be moved, which can happen sometimes accidentally.
The 4th icon with a up arrow put the BW window in the foreground.
The 5th icon reduce the window.
The last button close BW.

It depends of the people, personally I play in windowed mode, (with a black image in fullscreen in background lol, to stay focused on BW). But It's less smooth than in classic fullscreen.

Blizzard will release soon a new patch, which will makes the use of a BW launcher almost obsolete. But for the moment, you can use the MCA launcher.

Lol, well that explains that. I was assuming you were excited about the new patch and trying to get a head start. Regardless, a lot of the "issues" you're having with the launcher and what not should be fixed in the new patch releasing on the 30th which I'm sure you've acquainted yourself with by now. Probably would just be simpler if you chilled for now, and played the new version when it comes out in 4 days.
