Kongdoo/Afreeca just formally announced the December 4 date.
Qualifiers Nov 26 and Nov 27 with top 24 players advancing.
» Ro24: dual tournament Bo1
» Ro16: dual tournament Bo1
» Ro8-Finals: elimination Bo5
»  TaekBangLeeSsang ( Bisu, Stork,  Jaedong,  Flash) will all participate
» 4 seeds from the first season (Shuttle, Sharp, Last, Sea) advance into Ro16
Very similar prize money distribution to last season, ₩15,000,000 for first. Prize money awarded for all 28 participants (24 qualifers + 4 seeds from ASL1)

Hopefully they'll confirm with the timeline for the qualifiers soon. Glad to see Afreeca following through with the December timeline as mentioned at the finals of the first ASL. I hope Jaedong will wait until the next one actually. I want him to be back in shape so that people dont get disappointed in his play. Also I like to have new things to look forward to. This Starleague i look forward to the return of Bisu ( he did not participate in the last one) and then i can look forward to Jaedongs debut for the Starleague after this one (amongst other things)

He actually said he would participate in the next ASL a couple months ago. He was taking a breather for tournaments and god knows he needed it. He doesn't want to be a member of the Kong line. I would be really surprised if he didn't compete.

Meh, if the pros on Afreeca are playing it of their own free will it can't be that bad. Circuit Breakers is on the rise but they are playing FS a lot still.

I'm finding it a lucky time to be getting into BW. I used to play it as a kid (like an idiot) and I've been watching these tournaments and streams and was inspired to reinstall for the first time since SC2 was released. I'm so excited for this tournament!
