It's a pretty lame map. Zerg can often times just barely hold a 3rd on other maps, on Camelot it's impossible. There aren't any expansions with ramps that you can block with 2 Lurker eggs + 1 more Egg in the back that hatches first to cover the first 2 when they hatch. The corners can be blocked with 4 (3 on the ramp 1 to cover the other 3). But it's still hard to hold since the ramp is so large, and that's assuming you can find the gas for 1 extra lurker. To quote Day9: "You can win on any map ONCE" I think the Shine vs Flash game was an excellent example of a well-prepared strategy that would have outright killed any lesser Terran player. Unfortunately, Flash is just the best, so somehow he survived and rekt Shine in the end. I think that even though there are really difficult maps for certain races, it's not impossible for players to outplay their opponents with a better strategy, even if it's extremely difficult. That's the beauty of this game. (But noted, I don't really want to see Camelot again either haha). | ||

This game right after on CB was also a HOLY SHIT game, but not as good as the one on camelot. It must be extremely exhausting to play these games. Definitely god-tier performance right there. | ||

It's nice to see JD trying some new stuff to take 3rd asap in zvt, I'm pretty omtimistic they eventually gona find a way to somehow punish the 5 barrack into mech. The way I see it the main problems with the zvt nowadays for Z is the ridiculous cost/effectiveness of mines and the difficulties of getting a 3rd gas on time. I think it is easier and more essential to work on the 3rd gas issue that the mines one for the moment. Im looking forward for a winners match JD vs Last on Camelot for group D so bad, I bet JD is thinking and thinking over again about that game even when he sleeps. For sure that is going to be a true challenge for the Tyrant (still can't forget JD's face when Ssak picked Last for the group D, kind of "is this guy fucking retarded or what O.O?", I know JD, I felt the same way...). Anyway, until some sort of solid meta appears to consistenly deal with those issues I'm pretty JD gona have to rely on a very crazy build involving early lurkers and not mutas for that winners game (in case it happens), as Shine so brillantly did against Flash... can't wait! | ||
