The magnitude of imbalance is the least between the protoss and the terran race out of all the match-ups.

The magnitude of imbalance is the least between the protoss and the terran race out of all the match-ups. Isn't a lot of it dependent on maps? Very often so. The problem with bringing up race imbalance in the context of how Flash is playing, is that his ability to read opponents and his decision making skills are completely unmatched. Period. Sure, his proficiency at defense in this game is supported by him playing Terran, but most of what makes him so good can apply to any of the three races. I'd also argue that the ability to read players and predict their movements is what made Savior and Nal_ra so good, too.

That is a misconception. It was true during many historic periods, but it is not true now. Fighting Spirit favours Terran in both match ups, and is 50% in ZvP. Blue Storm favours Protoss in both match ups. Bloody Ridge favours Protoss in ZvP, but not in PvT.. It also favours Terran in TvP ,but not in TvZ. Tau Cross is bad for Protoss against Terran and Zerg. There are probably more examples of maps which do not follow the traditional imbalance of around 5% in PvT, TvZ, and ZvP.

People talked about Bisu becoming the next bonjwa, like they talked about Jaedong becoming it. But they couldn't dominate long enough to earn the titles. They were at the level of bonjwa, just not long enough. Is this because of their weaker races, or is it because they weren't as good as Flash, and therefore eventually became figured out? I think that the trait which separated Flash from other top of the top level players, is his ability to switch styles and adapt to his opponent. Is Terran the only race capable of doing that? Maybe. Is Flash the only player capable of doing that? Probably.

Looking at the most popular maps, which are generally considered reasonably balanced, you could probably make the case that terran generally has the most options and the most potential to come back from a deficit. We only ever saw the full terran potential realized by Flash (and arguably Fantasy) though, and since Jaedong very nearly managed to dominate the same way, you have to wonder if it's not just a question of chance and small sample size that we never saw a protoss player rise to the same height. Imagine a player with Bisu's and Stork's strengths in their prime and with neither player's weakness... or imagine Bisu with Jaedong's psyche.

I remember in OSL and MSL the ones where Flash and Jaedong played each other in 2009/2010 there were a lot of Terran favored Maps in tvz. That is forever why Flash beat Jaedong :p.

(Source: Post KeSPA TLPD stats) Even without Flash, those maps are Terran favoured. Imagine what they will be like with Flash.
